The scalp is not the only option. Same grafts from the back of the head, same FUE method — only the area changes.
FUE method, no cuts or stitches

Grafts are taken from the donor area at the back of the head and moved through micro-punctures of about 1 mm — no scars are left. The doctor discusses the shape with you before the operation, taking your facial features into account. Transplanted hair grows for life: the beard can be trimmed and styled as usual.

The surgeon sketches the eyebrow shape during the initial consultation: you look through references together and the design follows your facial features. The hairs go in at the right angle, so the eyebrows look natural. It also helps where hairs have stopped growing after years of plucking.

Process
Comfortable rooms, modern equipment, care for every patient
The consultation costs nothing and gives you a full explanation of FUE and DHI, answers to your questions, and an individual plan built for your surgery.
To confirm the surgery date, a deposit is required, paid by card at the clinic or transferred online, formalized in a medical services contract.
Preparation for the surgery includes a set of tests, and the clinic makes the process easy with a full list and instructions.
The treatment area is numbed with local anaesthesia, so the entire surgery is pain-free.
Grafts come from the donor area — the back of the head or temples — collected in a way that avoids stitches entirely.
Surgeons carefully implant the grafts into the balding zone.
The clinic takes care of recovery by giving you everything required and detailed instructions.
Crusts come off, the swelling goes down, the area recovers gradually
A normal step. Only the hairs fall out, the follicles stay in place
New hairs grow in gradually, the result shows
The hair becomes thicker, the main density and contour are seen
The final density and natural hairline settle in
Free, before surgery and binding you to nothing.

І experienced hair loss due to COVID and turned to this clinic; they helped me and performed a hair transplant, moving hair from the back of my head to my temples. Thank you.

I traveled to City Medical Centre, where they helped me overcome hair loss through a transplant to the balding areas of my scalp. I am grateful to the doctors for performing the procedure painlessly.

I am sharing my experience, because before the operation I went through a pile of reviews myself and was looking for real stories. I had a beard transplant six months ago. Honestly, in the first days after the procedure I felt a little jittery: my face looked unfamiliar, there was slight swelling and small scabs. In the first couple of months the hair partly fell out, as the doctor had warned. But now the result truly makes me very happy) From about the 4th month active, even growth began. The transplanted hair took very well, the beard now looks as natural as possible, no bald patches are left. The beard became much thicker and denser, with the shape I had thought about for a long time. All in all, I recommend the clinic, the doctor was polite and explained everything 👍 The result is definitely worth it!

Frequent questions
People often say hair implants, but no artificial hair is used. In a hair transplant the doctor moves your own follicles (grafts) from the donor area to thinning or bald areas using FUE or DHI.
Yes, this is possible. An online consultation is offered so patients from other cities and countries can plan ahead.
The base prices are $2,200 (≈ £1,700) (FUE), $2,500 (≈ £1,900) (DHI) and $2,700 (≈ £2,050) (combined). The precise cost is determined at a free consultation and graft count, then fixed in your contract.
Surgery is done in one day, and patients go home the same day it's finished.
It helps with stable pattern hair loss and a receding hairline when there are enough donor grafts. Some types of alopecia need treatment first; the doctor checks this at the consultation.
No — local anaesthesia keeps the whole procedure pain-free.
FUE is the classic method: grafts are harvested with tweezers, with no cuts or stitches. DHI implants grafts without channels, using a Choi pen. A combined method harvests grafts by FUE and implants them with the DHI pen.
Graft count is calculated by the doctor at no cost, based on an assessment of your donor zone.
Healing runs 0–10 days, followed by normal hair shedding at 2–4 weeks. Growth kicks in at 3–4 months, thickens by 6–9 months, and reaches its final result at 12–18 months.
You get a lifetime hair growth guarantee, written into the contract.
There is a medical licence, and care is provided to the standards and clinical guidelines
of Ministry of Health.

The transplant fits a patient from Glasgow because it is short and light: FUE and DHI, no cuts, no stitches, local anaesthesia, one day. Graft survival is 98-100 %, and a price from $2,200 (≈ £1,700) is fixed in the contract after a free count of the grafts.
Nothing has to be arranged in advance to start in Glasgow. The online consultation is free: the doctor studies photos of the thinning area and counts the grafts needed. The clinic is in touch 24/7, so you write when it suits you.
Healing needs 0-10 days; the transplanted hairs shed at 2-4 weeks and the follicles stay in place; growth starts at 3-4 months, density builds by 6-9 and the final result comes at 12-18. A personal coordinator keeps photo control at 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months under a lifetime growth guarantee.
Prices are in US dollars; the amount in brackets is an approximate conversion to GBP at the rate of 02.10.2026. The final price is fixed in your contract.

Clear photos of the hairline from the front, the top, the crown and the donor area at the back of the head, plus your age and whether you have had a transplant before. The doctor counts the grafts from them, and the price is fixed in the contract.
The procedure takes one day and you go home the same day. Healing takes 0–10 days, and the follow-up dressings and healing check-ups are part of the price.
Yes. Send us the date you have in mind on WhatsApp or Telegram. The first consultation is free, and you can start it online with the photos and details you send; the clinic then confirms the nearest available dates for the consultation and the operation before you plan anything.
If you want a visible result for a date, plan about a year ahead: growth starts at 3–4 months, thickens by 6–9 and is final at 12–18 months. Healing alone takes 0–10 days.
Yes. The first consultation is free and starts online: send your details and photos on WhatsApp or Telegram, and the doctor reviews them and explains the options and the price.

Did Jack Fincham have a hair transplant? Yes, and he explained whyJack Fincham had a hair transplant in 2020 to cover a scar from a childhood head injury. His words, how the procedure works and recovery.Glasgow City had about 654,330 residents in 2025, and the wider City Region more than 1.8 million. A natural first question is whether the health service pays for this. NHS guidance states that cosmetic surgery is not routinely provided on the NHS. Its examples of exceptions are a reshaped nose when breathing is the problem, breast enlargement for markedly uneven breasts or none at all with significant distress, and breast reduction for a person who is very distressed and has backache. Hair restoration is not among those examples.
The practical meaning is that a transplant is a private decision, made with your own information and at your own pace. That makes the quality of the information you collect matter all the more. The remaining sections suggest what to gather, from the regulator, from the clinic and from your own records, before a date is ever mentioned.
The coordinator can describe the clinic's own checks, and the regulators publish theirs; the free online consultation is where you put your questions.
Scottish law requires independent clinics, where a registered doctor, nurse, midwife or dental care professional offers a non-NHS service, to be registered with Healthcare Improvement Scotland. The body keeps a public register of regulated services, assesses each service against quality indicators, and posts a grade, exceptional, good, satisfactory or unsatisfactory, together with the inspection report.
So there is a register that can be read before any decision. If a provider says it is registered with the regulator, you can look for the registration and the latest report yourself. Where a provider is not found, ask for its registration details in writing and look again.
Two cautions apply. A register entry says something about the service, not about the skill of the individual who operates, so the doctor needs separate checking. And a grade belongs to a particular inspection, so read the date of the report as well as the score.
Make a short note of the date on which you looked at the register and what it showed. Registers change, and a note dated today lets you see later whether anything has moved. If the registration of the service or the details of the doctor ever change between your first message and your date, ask the clinic about it in writing.
The Royal College of Surgeons of England adds a point about doctors. A private cosmetic surgeon needs registration and a licence from the General Medical Council, but is not legally obliged to appear on the specialist register; the College strongly advises checking that the operating surgeon does. It also advises against having surgery at a hospital that cannot provide evidence that it is registered with the relevant regulator.
Turn that guidance into three requests in a single message. Ask for the operating surgeon's complete name and the specialty under which he or she practises. Ask which medical licence the organisation works under. Ask to see the doctors' diplomas and certificates, which the clinic puts in front of patients before payment. Then compare the name and the specialty with the public registers yourself.
The clinic says the consultation doctor is also the operating doctor. If you want that commitment to bind the clinic, ask for it to be put in the contract.
Registers describe the past, and a doctor's circumstances can change. If you are asked to wait for a date several weeks away, repeat the check shortly before the day and keep the print or screenshot with the rest of your papers.
Spoken promises are hard to line up against each other, so make the reply from every clinic arrive as a document. The coordinator is on call at any hour in WhatsApp and Telegram, and a first answer normally comes within 15 minutes. Use that responsiveness to collect the papers while you are calm: the licence, the exact name of the legal entity, the doctors' credentials, the contract for medical services and the statement of what the agreed sum includes.
Think of the process as three reading lists. The first comes from the regulator in Scotland and covers the service. The second comes from the professional registers and covers the doctor. The third comes from the clinic and covers the plan: contract, technique, count and follow-up. A choice that has passed all three lists rests on records, not on impressions, and it is easy to explain to a family member who asks how you decided.
Go through the contract looking for four things and compare them between clinics: the technique that is named, the number of grafts established by a doctor after examining the donor zone, the zone to be treated and whoever will carry out the operation. Then compare the list of inclusions item by item, from dressings and healing checks to the care plan, the guidance on washing, sleeping and headwear, and the follow-up schedule with a coordinator who takes your photographs. The agreed sum does not change on the day of surgery.
Mark every item that was said and is not written. Send the marked list back and wait for a corrected document. If you notice that a clinic answers general questions quickly but pauses over questions about the licence or the surgeon, take that as information.
Keep everything, with dates, in one folder. In a year, when you are judging a result that takes 12 to 18 months to mature, that folder is the only reliable record of what was agreed.
When two clinics both send complete papers, look at tone as well as content. Does the coordinator answer the question you asked, or a neighbouring one? Does the reply admit what the clinic cannot know before a doctor has seen your photographs? The honest answer to many early questions is that the doctor will decide after examining the donor zone, and a clinic that says so is respecting the order of events.
The range has three techniques. FUE lifts each graft with forceps, needs no incisions or stitches and is listed for androgenetic alopecia. DHI loads the graft into a Choi pen and places it directly, without cutting channels first. A hybrid route harvests with FUE, places with the DHI pen and is the option described for densification. The survival range quoted for FUE is 98 to 100 percent, an average and not a promise; the doctor explains at the consultation how the real figure depends on the area treated and on you.
The procedure is done in one day under local anaesthesia, where donor hairs come from the back of the head or the temples and go into the thinning zone. Beard work draws on the same source, and for eyebrows the surgeon starts with a drawn line and reviews reference photographs with you.
A transplant helps when the cause is androgenetic or diffuse alopecia, or when bald patches and a retreating frontal area have formed. The clinic lists a high frontal line, sparse donor hair, injury or burn damage, and shedding after illness or hormonal imbalance as poor fits, together with patchy alopecia. The firm stoppers are trichotillomania, body dysmorphic disorder, cancer and an age under 18, with epilepsy, a pacemaker, diabetes mellitus, hepatitis B or C, HIV, intolerance of anaesthetics, pulmonary embolism and serious heart disease close behind.
From Glasgow the opening step is a photograph of the thinning areas, sent to your coordinator in either messenger. A doctor reviews it and tells you whether surgery is worth discussing; nothing is booked and nothing is paid. The graft count comes afterwards, once the doctor has examined the donor zone.
Decide what success means to you and put it in plain words. Wanting the front filled in is a different request from wanting the crown covered, and both differ from a beard or brows, because each draws on the donor area in its own way. Sleep on the wording before you send it.
Underneath, set down the history: the point at which you noticed thinning, the speed of change, any family pattern and your earlier attempts at treatment. One more line should cover your general health, especially anything that features among the contraindications.
When the answer arrives, it should include a reason, not just a verdict. Ask the coordinator for the reasoning in a few lines and keep it in the folder. A yes that cannot be explained is as unhelpful as a no without a cause.
According to NHS guidance, cosmetic surgery is not a routine NHS service, and the exceptions it lists leave out hair restoration. Plan on a private decision.
It registers independent clinics, keeps a public register, assesses services against quality indicators and publishes a grade and an inspection report.
Not by law for private cosmetic work, where General Medical Council registration and licence are required, but the Royal College of Surgeons of England strongly advises checking that the operating surgeon is on it.
It tells you the service is registered and how it was graded on inspection. The doctor's own registration and specialty are checked separately.
Not to have surgery at a hospital that cannot provide evidence that it is registered with the relevant regulator.
Five papers: the licence, the organisation's legal name, the doctors' credentials, a contract that names the technique, and the inclusions list covering the full year of follow-up.
Yes. Pictures of the thin spots reach a coordinator, a doctor assesses them, and no date is set until you choose.
One, three, six, nine and twelve months after surgery, with progress photos in between.
