Editorial policy and medical review
How City Medical Centre prepares, checks and updates the medical information on this website.
Who reviews our pages
Procedure pages that present our doctors show, at the end of the page, the name of the doctor who reviewed the medical content of that page and the date of the review. The reviewing doctor is the specialist named in the doctors section of the same page. Pages without a named reviewer do not show this line.
Profiles of our doctors are collected on the Doctors page.
Sources we refer to
At the end of each procedure page we list publications by health authorities and professional medical societies, so that you can check general information about the procedure independently: the NHS, MedlinePlus (U.S. National Library of Medicine), the U.S. FDA, NIDDK (U.S. National Institutes of Health), NICE, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. Blog articles list their own sources.
What our pages are not
See also the medical disclaimer.
Information on this website is not medical advice and does not replace a consultation with a doctor. Every operation has contraindications and possible risks. Whether a procedure suits you, which method is used and the final price are decided by the surgeon at the consultation.
Prices on the site are indicative and are not a public offer. The plan, the dates and the final price are confirmed before anything is booked.
Updates and corrections
When the medical content of a page changes, the page is reviewed again and the review date shown on it is updated. If you notice an error or outdated information on any page, please write to [email protected] and we will check it.
