How it works
An agreed plan for the correction, observation in hospital and recovery monitoring for a year.
1The surgeon looks at your figure, talks through your wishes and picks the best volume, shape and correction method.
2A surgery date is booked in your name: pay the deposit by card at the clinic or by online bank transfer. The terms are recorded in the contract for medical services
3Ahead of surgery you go through full testing — blood tests, an ECG and other examinations as prescribed by the doctor.
4Mammoplasty is performed according to your individual plan. The surgery is done under general anaesthesia while your condition is monitored throughout.
5After the operation you remain in the clinic's comfortable inpatient ward, cared for by the medical team until you are discharged.
6After surgery you get a recovery programme. Check-ups at 7 days, 3 and 6 months help track your recovery. For a year after surgery, consultations with your surgeon are free.

In the run-up to surgery, follow simple advice: keep work and rest in healthy balance, sleep more, avoid stress, anxiety and emotional strain, and ease off physical activity.
At least one month before the procedure, oral hormonal contraceptives should be stopped
Stop taking aspirin-containing drugs, steroids and hormonal medications for chronic conditions before surgery
Get your tests a week ahead of surgery
Swelling from surgery fades after 3 weeks
Scars form in 3 weeks
Avoid exertion (lifting over 3 kg)
Avoid raising arms above shoulder level — 3 weeks
After correction, recovery includes 1–1.5 months in compression garments
Refrain from intense gym training for up to 40 days and from very active aerobics; light cardio is possible after a month. Follow your diet and meals.
Discomfort disappears after 3 months
Baths and saunas are off-limits up to three months, as is physiotherapy
By 3 months, inflammatory changes in the tissue have resolved and a “pocket” has formed around the implant

FAQ
Yes. Boob job is the everyday name for breast augmentation. At City Medical Centre it is done with round or anatomical implants that the surgeon chooses with you at the consultation.
Breast enlargement adds volume with implants. A breast lift (mastopexy) raises sagging breasts and removes excess skin. Which one suits you is decided at the free consultation.
Mammoplasty includes several procedures: augmentation (adding volume with implants), reduction (removing excess tissue and skin), mastopexy (lifting sagging breasts), reconstruction (after mastectomy) and asymmetry correction. The optimal method is selected individually, based on your wishes and the surgeon's recommendation.

Complications are infrequent provided all recommendations are followed. They may include hematoma or seroma, infection of the wound, changes in nipple sensitivity (lower or higher), capsular contracture, aesthetic asymmetry, wound separation and tissue necrosis.
Results after mammoplasty last a long while: about 10–15 years for augmentation (until implant replacement) and 5–10 years for a lift or reduction. Weight changes, pregnancy, skin aging and gravity affect their duration. To maintain the result, choose supportive underwear and control your weight.
The ability to breastfeed after mammoplasty depends on the type of operation. With augmentation through an under-breast or armpit incision and a submuscular implant, lactation usually remains, because the glandular tissue is not harmed. After a lift or reduction the risk is greater, as ducts may be cut. Raise this with your surgeon ahead of time.
When choosing implants, the factors are material (silicone looks most natural, saline is used less often), shape (round or anatomical teardrop), surface (smooth or textured), size and profile. The surgeon will find the best option for your anatomy and preferences.
The operation is done under general anaesthesia, so the patient feels nothing. Over the first 1–3 days moderate discomfort may occur and is eased with painkillers. By day 5–7 pain drops noticeably, and by weeks 2–3 the discomfort has gone. If the pain is severe, let your doctor know at once.
Returning to work without physical exertion is possible after 7–14 days, and light walks after 1–2 weeks. Fitness and swimming are allowed after 4–6 weeks, strength training after 3 months, and the pool and sea after 4–6 weeks. Compression garments: 4–6 weeks. Exact timing depends on recovery.
No scientific data suggest that mammoplasty increases breast cancer risk, and implants are not carcinogenic. After the operation, continue regular screening: self-examination, mammography and ultrasound. Always tell the doctor who examines you about your implants.
After a caesarean section, mammoplasty is possible once full recovery is complete. At least 6–12 months must pass after the birth and after breastfeeding ends. A surgeon's consultation and check-up must take place before surgery.
Mammoplasty does result in scars, but a skilled surgeon keeps them minimal. Incisions are made in areas that are out of sight: under the breast, around the areola or in the armpit. At first scars are reddish, and within 6–12 months they fade and become nearly invisible.
Slight asymmetry in the first weeks after surgery is normal: it is caused by swelling and uneven healing. If a difference in shape or size persists after 3–6 months, see your surgeon for an examination to find the cause.
After mammoplasty, sensitivity of the nipples and breasts may change for a while, becoming lower or higher. This is due to irritation of the nerve endings. In most cases sensitivity comes back within 3–12 months. If nothing improves after a year, see your surgeon.
Hormonal drugs (contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy) do not affect implants directly, but may cause swelling or changes in breast tissue volume, temporarily affecting appearance. Be sure to tell your surgeon about such medications before surgery.

What exactly changes with augmentation? Volume grows and the bust gains a rounder or a more natural teardrop profile, depending on the implant selected. If you are researching breast augmentation in Szczecin, keep in mind that implants come smooth or textured and are selected for each body. With an under-breast or armpit incision and the implant placed under the muscle, lactation is usually preserved.
For anyone in Szczecin planning augmentation, preparation starts weeks ahead. Aspirin-containing drugs, steroids and some hormonal medications are stopped 1–2 weeks before; oral contraceptives, at least a month before. Tests are taken a week prior. After the operation you remain in hospital for one day, then follow a recovery program focused on reducing swelling and caring for the breasts.
Pricing is transparent: from $4,700 (≈ PLN 18,500) for augmentation, the same for breast reduction or a lift without implants, and $5,400 (≈ PLN 21,500) for a combined lift with implants. Reconstruction is priced on request. For people from Szczecin, the plastic surgeon consultation is free, and in-house instalments make planning easier. Leave a request to get your personal correction plan.

I went to Dmitry Sergeyevich for breast augmentation with implants. At the consultation everything was explained in detail, and together we chose the best size. The operation under combined anaesthesia took 2 hours, and I was discharged home the next day. The swelling went down in about a month, and my breasts look very natural. The year of follow-up care is a real lifesaver: you can always ask a question and get an answer. Thank you to the clinic!

After two births I decided on a breast lift without implants. I chose Dmitry Sergeyevich and have no regrets. The result exceeded all my expectations: my breasts are lifted and the shape is youthful and firm. The incisions are minimal and almost invisible. I spent one day in the hospital, and the room was very comfortable. I recommend him!

Szczecin's cold months are mild by continental standards, but they are long. The 1991-2020 normals for the Dabie station put January at a mean maximum of 3.0 °C and a mean minimum of -1.8 °C. February is 4.5 °C and -1.3 °C, and December is 4.0 °C and -0.5 °C. Snow falls on 23.7 days a year on average, mostly in January (7.6 days) and February (6.9 days), with average extreme depths of only 3.6 cm and 4.0 cm. Relative humidity peaks in November (89.1%) and December (89.0%). If your operation is planned for the second half of November 2026, this is the weather in which you will wear the compression garment.
The recovery plan for breast augmentation mentions compression garments for 1-1.5 months, and the answers on recovery speak of 4-6 weeks. The exact period depends on how your tissues settle, and the doctor fixes it during your check-ups. In practice it means the garment sits under every winter layer for most of that time. For the first 3 weeks you should not raise your arms above shoulder level or lift more than 3 kg. Pulling a jumper over your head is therefore awkward, and a wet winter coat or a full shopping bag can be too heavy. Front-opening cardigans, loose shirts and a coat that can be put on with the arms kept low make those weeks simpler. It is worth laying these clothes out before the operation day.
Short winter days are another practical point. Sunshine in Szczecin totals only 32.2 hours in December and 42.7 hours in January, against 246.3 hours in July. Easy walks are possible from 1-2 weeks, and a daylight walk is a pleasant way to rebuild activity. On icy days a slip with a sudden grab for a railing is exactly the movement to avoid, so choose dry pavements and shorter routes. Check-ups at 7 days, 3 months and 6 months are tracked through the same messengers you used for the first consultation. Coordinators answer round the clock, so a question about swelling, the garment or a dressing can be sent in the evening without waiting for morning.
The warmest part of the Szczecin year is July, with a mean maximum of 24.3 °C and a mean minimum of 13.8 °C, followed by August at 24.0 °C and 13.5 °C. The annual mean maximum is 13.7 °C and the annual mean minimum 5.5 °C. In other words, even the hot months are moderate, and a garment worn at 24 °C is a different matter from one worn at 3 °C. A patient who plans a summer date should think about breathable cotton layers on top of the garment, and about shade during the first weeks, when the scars are still forming (they develop within 3 weeks).
Summer has real advantages. Light clothing is easy to open at the front, and long evenings make short walks natural. The plan also puts return to work without physical exertion at 7-14 days, and a quieter summer working rhythm can make that window easier to protect. The wettest summer months are July with 76.2 mm of rain, August with 60.3 mm and June with 59.1 mm. A rainy week is a good reason to stay in, keep your arms low and follow the rule of no strenuous activity for 3 weeks. Annual precipitation is 567.1 mm over 166.6 days, though other descriptions of the city quote about 537 mm, so treat the number as approximate.
Heat and sweat deserve a separate word. Baths, saunas and physiotherapy are not allowed for up to three months, and that includes a hot summer. A shower, not a long hot soak, is the normal habit in this period. Swelling goes down after about 3 weeks, and discomfort fades after about 3 months. If the weather is warm and you notice that the swelling has increased, or one breast looks different from the other, send photos to the coordinator, and the doctor will tell you whether a check-up is needed sooner. The same applies to sudden pain. The plan states plainly that severe pain must be reported at once.
Water is part of the city's shape. Szczecin lies on both banks of the Oder and on several large islands. The Regalica branch of the river runs through it, Lake Dabie lies entirely within city limits, and about 24% of the city's 300.62 km2 is water. North of the city the Szczecin Lagoon covers 687 km2, and Trzebiez near Police is the only beach town named in its article. So thinking about a swim is natural for anyone planning a date in the warm season, and the question is always the same: when is it safe?
The medical answer is limited and consistent. Fitness and swimming come from 4-6 weeks, and pool and sea from 4-6 weeks, with exact timing depending on your individual recovery. Baths and saunas are a different category and stay off for up to three months. A lake or a lagoon is not a bath, but the logic for your first swim is the same. The wounds must be closed and calm, the dressings no longer needed, and the doctor must agree at a check-up. If you feel you are ready at week 3, ask first, because a feeling of readiness is not a medical finding.
If you plan your operation for early summer 2027, the 4-6 week window will arrive in the middle of the warmest months, with July as the sunniest and warmest. If you plan it for autumn 2026, you will most likely be thinking about a pool rather than open water. Either way, begin with gentle movement, and remember that raising your arms above shoulder level is off the list for 3 weeks, which matters for any stroke. After the first swim, tell the doctor how the scars and the breast shape feel. The review is part of the year of follow-up that comes with the plan, with free consultations for twelve months.
Szczecin has an active calendar. A marathon is organised in August, and the men's tennis tournament Pekao Szczecin Open is held every year in September. The city also has sailing (SEJK Pogon Szczecin), diving (Husaria Szczecin) and water polo (Arkonia Szczecin) clubs. Several of these sports load the arms, shoulders and chest, which is exactly what the recovery plan restricts at first. If you take part in any of them, or simply follow a strength routine, tell the coordinator before the operation so the doctor can build the return around your sport.
The staged limits are specific. For 3 weeks there is no strenuous activity, meaning nothing over 3 kg and no raising of the arms above shoulder level. Intense gym work is skipped for up to 40 days, and overly active aerobics are avoided for the same period. Light cardio may be possible after a month. Strength training is allowed from 3 months. Within 3 months the tissue is free of inflammatory changes and a "pocket" forms around the implant. That period is the reason the plan is cautious about pressing, pulling and overhead work, and about a rushed return to old training loads.
Running is a special case, because it is not an arm sport but it does bounce the chest. The plan does not give a separate date for running. Its wording is that light cardio may be possible after a month and that precise timing depends on recovery. A runner aiming at an August marathon should therefore discuss the training calendar with the doctor, and not assume that an easy jog is safe at week 3. Supportive underwear is recommended to maintain the result, and it makes sense for sport as well. For a diver, sailor or water polo player, the safe way is to plan the operation in the off-season. The first training should be a progression, not a return to full load.
Poland has 14 public non-working days: 1 January, 6 January (Epiphany), Easter Sunday and Monday, 1 May, 3 May, Pentecost Sunday, Corpus Christi, 15 August, 1 November, 11 November, 24 December (since 2025), and 25 and 26 December. For planning, it is better to think in whole weeks than in single days. A return to work with no physical exertion is possible after 7-14 days. If the operation is on a weekday just after 11 November 2026, for example, the first working week is the one that follows the holiday gap, and an office patient may find it easier to be absent when others are also away. Late December works the same way, with 24, 25 and 26 December closing out the year, then 1 January and 6 January soon after. Do not assume that a holiday week is quieter in every workplace.
The city is also a student town. The University of Szczecin alone has 35,000 students, and the city is home to Pomeranian Medical University, Maritime University, West Pomeranian University of Technology and the Art Academy. If you study or teach, plan around your own exam and teaching timetable, and about the weeks when you will have to carry books or a laptop bag. The 3 kg limit for 3 weeks is a real constraint for a rucksack. If you have school-age children, remember that lifting a child counts as lifting, so arrange help at home for the first weeks. These are practical points that the coordinator can walk through before the date is confirmed.
Think also about the sequence of stages. Stop hormonal oral contraceptives at least one month before the procedure. Discontinue aspirin-containing drugs, steroids and hormonal medications for chronic conditions 1-2 weeks before, as the doctor instructs. Do your tests a week before the operation. The stay itself is one day at the clinic, under general anaesthesia. Then come the check-ups at 7 days, 3 months and 6 months. Before the date is booked you send photos, receive a free assessment and a fixed contract, and confirm the plan, so you can compare several calendars before you commit to one.
There is no single ideal month. In the coldest months (January mean maximum 3.0 °C, February 4.5 °C) the garment goes under thick layers, but it is not exposed to heat. In July, with a mean maximum of 24.3 °C, it is more noticeable but clothing is lighter. Plan the period of 4-6 weeks to 1-1.5 months and choose what suits your wardrobe and work. The doctor sets the exact duration.
Pool and sea are mentioned from 4-6 weeks, depending on how your recovery goes. Baths and saunas are different and are not allowed for up to three months. Ask the doctor at a check-up before the first swim, and send photos of the scars if you are unsure. Open water is not a reason to hurry.
The plan gives no weather-specific rules. November has the highest average humidity in Szczecin (89.1%), so keep dressings and the garment dry and follow the doctor's instructions. If a dressing gets wet or the skin looks irritated, message the coordinator, who is available round the clock, and the doctor will advise whether you need a check-up.
NFZ finances only services listed in its catalogues, and within that range treatment is in most cases free for the insured patient. Elective augmentation with implants is arranged here by a medical services contract with a fixed price, not through an NFZ waiting list. Reconstruction after mastectomy is a separate case, so ask the coordinator about your situation.
Change of breast shape after weight loss is among the suitable indications, but uncontrolled diabetes and decompensated chronic diseases are listed as not suitable. Weight changes also influence how long the result lasts, so stable weight is sensible. Send photos and your history to the coordinator, and the doctor will say whether a lift, augmentation or both are suited to you. Bariatric treatment, which is an NFZ service for BMI of 40 and above, is a separate pathway.
A return to work with no physical exertion is possible after 7-14 days, but lifting over 3 kg and raising the arms above shoulder level are off the list for 3 weeks. Desk work is usually easier than work with loads. If you study, plan carrying books and a laptop bag, and discuss it with the coordinator before the date is fixed.
Not at first. Strenuous activity is excluded for 3 weeks, intense gym training for up to 40 days, and strength training starts from 3 months. Swimming is mentioned from 4-6 weeks. Water sports combine overhead movement, load and immersion, so the doctor should approve each step. Planning the operation in the off-season helps.
Prepare front-opening clothes, easy-to-reach items on shelves at waist height, and help with lifting. Complete the tests a week before the operation and discontinue medication only as instructed. Keep the coordinator's WhatsApp or Telegram chat open, as it is staffed 24/7, and agree who will be with you on the day of discharge.
