It is not only about the scalp. The same grafts from the back of the head, the same FUE method — just the area changes.
FUE method, no cuts or stitches

Grafts come from the donor area at the back of the head and are placed through micro-punctures of about 1 mm, leaving no scars. The doctor discusses the shape with you before surgery, taking your facial features into account. The transplanted hair grows for life, and the beard can be trimmed and styled as usual.

At the initial consultation the surgeon draws the eyebrow shape, you look through references together, and the design takes your facial features into account. The hairs are implanted at the right angle, so the eyebrows look natural. It also helps where plucking has stopped hairs growing.

Process
Modern equipment, comfort in the rooms, care for every patient
The doctor opens the process with a free consultation, explaining the FUE and DHI techniques, answering questions, and shaping a plan built around your specific needs.
Booking the date involves a deposit — payable by card in person or transferred online — with all conditions set out in a medical services contract.
Preparation involves a round of pre-operative tests, for which the clinic supplies both the list and clear instructions.
Because local anaesthesia is used, patients in Ibadan experience no pain during the operation.
The harvesting stage takes grafts from either the back of the head or the temples, with no need for stitches.
The team implants the harvested grafts into the balding zone at this stage.
The clinic ensures recovery goes smoothly by providing everything needed along with full instructions.
The crusts come off, the swelling falls, the area gradually recovers
A normal stage. Only hairs fall out, the follicles stay in place
Gradually new hairs appear and the result shows
The hair becomes thicker, the core volume and contour are visible
A natural hairline and the final density take shape
Free, before the operation and free of obligations.

І experienced hair loss due to COVID and turned to this clinic; they helped me and performed a hair transplant, moving hair from the back of my head to my temples. Thank you.

I traveled to City Medical Centre, where they helped me overcome hair loss through a transplant to the balding areas of my scalp. I am grateful to the doctors for performing the procedure painlessly.

I am sharing my experience, because before the operation I went through a pile of reviews myself and was looking for real stories. I had a beard transplant six months ago. Honestly, in the first days after the procedure I felt a little jittery: my face looked unfamiliar, there was slight swelling and small scabs. In the first couple of months the hair partly fell out, as the doctor had warned. But now the result truly makes me very happy) From about the 4th month active, even growth began. The transplanted hair took very well, the beard now looks as natural as possible, no bald patches are left. The beard became much thicker and denser, with the shape I had thought about for a long time. All in all, I recommend the clinic, the doctor was polite and explained everything 👍 The result is definitely worth it!

Frequent questions
People often say hair implants, but no artificial hair is used. In a hair transplant the doctor moves your own follicles (grafts) from the donor area to thinning or bald areas using FUE or DHI.
Yes — patients from other cities and countries are welcome, and you can start with a free online consultation.
FUE: $2,200 (≈ ₦2,950,000). DHI: $2,500 (≈ ₦3,350,000). Combined: $2,700 (≈ ₦3,600,000). A free consultation and graft count gives you the final, contract-fixed price with no hidden extras.
The procedure is completed within a single day, after which you head home.
It helps with stable pattern hair loss and a receding hairline when there are enough donor grafts. Some types of alopecia need treatment first; the doctor checks this at the consultation.
It's a painless procedure, carried out under local anaesthesia.
FUE relies on tweezer harvesting with no incisions or stitches. DHI relies on Choi-pen implantation without channels. The combined DHI+FUE approach harvests by FUE and implants by DHI.
Graft count is calculated by the doctor at no cost, based on an assessment of your donor zone.
Expect 0–10 days to heal, then normal shedding of transplanted hairs at 2–4 weeks. Growth begins around 3–4 months, density builds by 6–9 months, and the final look appears at 12–18 months.
You get a lifetime hair growth guarantee, written into the contract.

For someone living in Ibadan, the procedure takes a day and no more: FUE and DHI leave no cuts and no stitches and use local anaesthesia. Graft survival is 98-100 %, and a price from $2,200 (≈ ₦2,950,000) is written into the contract after a free graft count.
For Ibadan the entry point is simple and free: an online consultation where the doctor reviews photos of the thinning area and counts the grafts you would need. The clinic answers 24/7, so a message never sits overnight.
The skin settles in 0-10 days, the transplanted hairs drop out at 2-4 weeks as part of the process, growth appears at 3-4 months, thickness at 6-9 and the final result at 12-18. Follow-ups at 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months with photo tracking by a personal coordinator and a lifetime growth guarantee.
Prices are in US dollars; the amount in brackets is an approximate conversion to NGN at the rate of 02.10.2026. The final price is fixed in your contract.

Well-known people who spoke openly about this operation, in their own words.

How we prepare and review medical content · Medical disclaimer
Ibadan counted 2,559,853 people at the 2006 census across its 11 local government areas, and an estimate for 2025 puts the urban area at 3,861,000. Whatever the figure, the opening move needs nothing but a phone. Photographs of the thinning areas go to a coordinator on WhatsApp or Telegram, a doctor looks, and you hear whether a transplant makes sense. No fee, no date held.
Prepare the pictures with some care. Take the front, the top, the crown, then the back and the sides, because the donor skin sits at the back of the head or at the temples. Add one close shot of the thinnest patch in even daylight, bareheaded. Under the set, put three lines of your own: when the loss began, whether it is still moving, what you have tried so far.
Add a fourth line about your health. The doctor will want to know about any illness, regular medicines, allergies, and above all any reaction to anaesthetics, because the operation is done under local anaesthesia. A sheet written in advance is shorter to read than a long chat, and it lets the doctor give a firmer answer.
Free consultation means a doctor examines the donor zone, counts grafts and describes the outcome that can be expected. The price follows from that count and is entered in the contract. The doctor who advises you is the one who operates, and a written graft count is the figure from which all the others are derived.
Three routes exist. With FUE, grafts are lifted with forceps and neither cuts nor stitches are needed. With DHI, a pen device implants each graft straight into the scalp, so no recipient channels are opened in advance. The third route lifts by FUE and implants by DHI. The clinic presents FUE as the classic technique suited to androgenetic alopecia, and DHI and the mixed route as options for densification.
Reasons tell you more than method names. Ask what in your donor area and your thinning points to one route over another, and what the graft count would be under each plan. The clinic gives averages for graft survival and trauma by method as guidance, and says the exact figures depend on the area and the individual and are set out at the consultation.
One donor area can serve other places. Grafts from the back of the head may go into a beard or into eyebrows with the same FUE method. For the beard the shape is agreed beforehand to flatter your face and the grafts enter through punctures of roughly a millimetre, leaving no scars. Eyebrows start with the line drawn by the surgeon and reference photographs that you review together, each hair placed at its natural angle. Mention either wish in your first message, so the donor area is planned for everything.
One day under local anaesthesia, then home. Ask what to expect when the numbing wears off, what is advised for the first nights, and who you can message about crusts or swelling.
The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria regulates medical and dental practice in the country. It began operating in 1963, keeps the register of practitioners, investigates allegations of professional misconduct and issues annual practising licences to doctors and dentists.
Because the licence is annual, the useful question is not only whether a doctor is registered but whether the licence is valid this year. Ask the coordinator for the full name of the doctor who will operate, the specialty and the registration details, and check the name with the Council. Note the date of the check and keep the note with the contract.
Before any payment the clinic shows its medical licence and the diplomas and certificates of its doctors. Its team includes a hair transplant doctor, a dermatovenereologist who also works as a trichologist, and a plastic surgeon, so ask which of them will perform your procedure and in what role.
If something does not match, say so in a message and wait for an explanation in writing. A clinic that welcomes this kind of check is telling you how it will behave in the following twelve months.
Keep the register check practical. Write the doctor's name exactly as the coordinator gave it, search that spelling, and compare the specialty and the year of the licence with what you were told. Small spelling differences are common and easy to clear up by message; a doctor who cannot be found at all is a reason to pause until you have a written explanation.
The National Health Insurance Authority works under the NHIA Act of 2022. Its homepage describes cover for employees with a spouse and up to four biological children, for informal-sector workers and for vulnerable groups, and a 10 percent co-payment on drugs. It does not mention cosmetic surgery. Do not assume that hair restoration is covered; ask your insurer in writing, and plan the operation as self-funded until you have a written answer.
Your date is held by a deposit, by card at the clinic or by online transfer, and the contract for medical services records the terms. The sum agreed stays valid on the day of surgery, so ask for the contract early and read it slowly, with a pen.
Lay the written inclusions next to what you were told. They cover dressings and healing checks, care plans for the new and the donor zones, advice on washing, sleep and headwear, a route back to sport and normal hair care, a coordinator who receives your pictures as things change, and five checks across the year. If a promise came only by voice, ask for it by message.
The checklist also helps you compare. If another team offers a lower sum, set both against the same list of inclusions before you decide that one is cheaper; a missing line is a difference in the offer, not a saving.
Not everyone should go ahead, and the clinic says so before taking your money. The sound reasons are loss of the androgenetic or diffuse kind, and bald zones with a receding front. The reasons to stop fall into groups: compulsive pulling of one's own hair and distorted perception of one's body; cancer; being under eighteen; intolerance of anaesthetics; epilepsy and serious heart disease; diabetes; a pacemaker; viral infections such as HIV and hepatitis B or C; and a past blood clot in the lung. Put whatever fits you in the very first message.
The outcome is slow, and the clinic charts it in stages. For ten days the crusts fall and swelling subsides. Between two and four weeks the new hairs shed, as expected, because the follicles remain. Regrowth begins at three to four months, thickness returns at six to nine, and the finished volume appears at twelve to eighteen months.
Keep a record that follows those stages. After every check note the date, what the doctor said and what you were told about washing, sleep, headwear and sport. Photograph the same zones in the same light each time and send the series to your coordinator. Only a dated series lets you judge a result that ripens over as much as eighteen months.
Between checks, use the coordinator. Photographs as things change are part of the plan, and coordinators answer around the clock in the messengers. A worry sent with a picture on day four is easier to settle than one carried silently until the next appointment.
The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria keeps the register and issues annual licences. Ask for the doctor's full name and details and check them with the Council.
Front, top, crown, back and sides of the head, plus a close shot of the thinnest patch in daylight without a cap, and a line on how long the loss has lasted.
Its homepage describes cover for employees, informal-sector workers and vulnerable groups and does not mention cosmetic surgery. Ask your insurer in writing before assuming any cover.
Yes. The same FUE method serves both. Say so in your first message, so the donor area is planned for all of it.
Anything on the contraindication list, from anaesthetic intolerance and epilepsy to heart disease, diabetes, a pacemaker, HIV, hepatitis or a past pulmonary embolism, and any cancer.
A coordinator answers in the messengers at any hour, and the doctor then reviews your photographs.
The count, made once the donor zone has been examined, is the basis of the plan, so the sum is entered in the contract only after it.
Dressings and checks, care plans for both zones, advice on washing, sleep and headwear, the return-to-sport plan, coordinator support and the schedule of checks.
