In a follow-up video filmed during a break he gave an update: “The extraction part is done, we have about 2400 and it’s time to eat. I feel better 100%, nothing to worry about; just to look good for you guys.” Daily Post Nigeria reported the same words and that he described the transplant as successful.

Why his videos are useful to watch

Many people imagine a transplant as a mysterious, painful event. Mr P showed something much more ordinary: a patient in a good mood, taking a lunch break between stages. That matches how the operation is actually organised — it is done under local anaesthesia, in one day, with pauses, and the patient goes home afterwards.

He also named the reason plainly: he had been uncomfortable with his hairline. A receding hairline is one of the most common forms of male hair loss, and treating it is a personal choice, not a question of vanity.

What “about 2,400” grafts means

A graft is a small unit of skin containing one or several hairs. The number needed depends on the size of the area and the density wanted. Who is a candidate and how to prepare

A transplant suits people with a receding hairline or temples, a high hairline, low density, diffuse or focal alopecia, or hair loss after trauma, burns, illness or hormonal disorders — provided the donor area is strong enough. Contraindications include age under 18, trichotillomania, body dysmorphic disorder, cancer, epilepsy, severe heart disease, diabetes mellitus, a pacemaker, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B/C, a history of pulmonary embolism and intolerance to anaesthetics. Recovery after the procedure

For about ten days the scalp heals and small crusts fall off. In weeks two to four the transplanted hairs shed — the follicles remain. New hair begins to grow at three to four months, density becomes visible at six to nine months, and the final result is assessed at 12–18 months.
