A beard transplant moves follicles from the back of your head into the cheeks, chin or jawline, so the beard fills in where it never grew. The grafts are placed through micro-punctures without incisions, recovery takes about a week and a half, and the price at our centre is $2,800.

What a beard transplant is and who orders it
The operation redistributes your own hair: grafts are taken from the donor zone at the back of the head, where hair is resistant to pattern loss, and implanted into the areas of the face where beard growth is absent or patchy. Men choose it for a patchy beard that will not fill in, for scars in the beard area, or simply to add density along the cheeks and jawline where genetics gave little.
The result is real hair, not a drawing: it grows, responds to shaving and stays with you for life once healed.
Who suits the operation and who does not
A candidate is a man whose facial hair has settled into its final pattern, whose donor zone is dense enough for the number of grafts needed, and whose skin has no active inflammation in the implantation area. The doctor checks all three at the consultation.
The operation is not offered while there are untreated skin conditions on the face, active folliculitis, or general contraindications to surgery. If the beard is patchy because of an underlying skin or hormonal problem, that cause is treated first. The surgeon confirms your case at the free consultation.
How the transplant is done
The procedure runs under local anaesthesia in a single day. The surgeon harvests grafts from the back of the head through micro-punctures of about 1 mm, without incisions or stitches, so there is no linear scar, then implants them into the planned areas of the beard at the angle the hair should grow.
The day is calmer than most men expect: the design is drawn on the skin and agreed in the mirror, the donor zone is trimmed, and local anaesthesia numbs both areas. Between the stages you can eat, answer messages and walk around; most patients leave in the late afternoon and sleep at home the same night.
How many grafts your beard needs depends on the size of the patchy areas and the density you want; the count is made personally at the consultation, and the price is fixed in the contract before the operation.
Recovery: the first weeks after the transplant
Recovery after a beard transplant takes about 7–10 days. The face may look slightly red and swollen at first; small crusts around the grafts heal and fall away around days 7–10, and after that the skin looks close to normal. The implanted hairs then shed in the following weeks, which is expected: the follicles stay in the skin and start producing new hairs over the coming months, with visible growth from months 3–4 and the settled result assessed at around 12 months.
Shaving waits until the doctor confirms the grafts are secure, because early shaving can dislodge them. After healing, you trim and shave the new beard as normal.
The aftercare list is concrete: sleep with the head slightly raised for the first nights, keep hands off the implanted area, wash exactly as the doctor demonstrates from the appointed day, and hold back the gym, sauna and direct sun until the surgeon clears them. This short list is what protects the grafts while they take root.
Is a transplanted beard permanent?
Yes, and the reason is the donor source. Transplanted hair keeps the properties of the place it came from; hair from the back of the head is usually resistant to pattern hair loss, so once the transplant has healed the beard is expected to grow for life. You style it, trim it and shave it like the rest of your beard.

I am sharing my experience, because before the operation I went through a pile of reviews myself and was looking for real stories.
I had a beard transplant six months ago. Honestly, in the first days after the procedure I felt a little jittery: my face looked unfamiliar, there was slight swelling and small scabs. In the first couple of months the hair partly fell out, as the doctor had warned.
But now the result truly makes me very happy) From about the 4th month active, even growth began. The transplanted hair took very well, the beard now looks as natural as possible, no bald patches are left. The beard became much thicker and denser, with the shape I had thought about for a long time.
All in all, I recommend the clinic, the doctor was polite and explained everything 👍
The result is definitely worth it!

Frequently asked questions
How much does a beard transplant cost?
$2,800 at our centre, previously $3,000, with interest-free instalments available. The surgeon confirms the amount after counting your grafts at the free consultation.
Does a beard transplant hurt?
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, so the face and donor zone are numbed. Patients stay comfortable during the day and go home the same evening.
How long is the recovery?
About 7–10 days: crusts around the grafts heal and fall away around days 7–10 and the face looks close to normal after that.
When can I shave after the transplant?
Not until the doctor confirms the grafts are secure, because early shaving can dislodge them. After healing you shave and trim the transplanted beard as normal.
Is the result permanent?
Yes. Grafts come from the back of the head, where hair resists pattern loss, so a healed transplanted beard is expected to grow for life.
Will there be a scar?
Grafts are harvested through micro-punctures of about 1 mm without incisions or stitches, so there is no linear scar on the head or the face.
