Breast Augmentation with Implants

Breast augmentation corrects size and shape with implants placed through small incisions. At our centre the operation has a fixed price of $4,700, it is done under general anaesthesia in one day, and the first consultation with the surgeon is free.

What augmentation with implants is

The surgeon creates a pocket for the implant either under the gland or under the muscle, places the implant and closes the incisions, which sit where they are least visible. The implants used today are silicone devices with a cohesive gel that holds together; the shape is chosen for your anatomy, round or anatomical (teardrop), and so is the size, within the limits your tissues allow.

The operation adds volume and corrects asymmetry. It does not lift a sagging breast on its own; when the tissue has dropped, augmentation is combined with a lift, which is a separate decision the surgeon makes with you.

Who suits the operation and who it does not

Typical reasons to come to a consultation are low volume after weight changes or breastfeeding, asymmetry, or a shape a patient wants to change. A candidate is a healthy adult with realistic expectations and stable weight; the surgeon confirms that the skin and tissues can accommodate the planned size.

Contraindications include active infection, untreated oncological findings and conditions that make anaesthesia unsafe. There are contraindications, and the doctor decides whether surgery suits you at the free consultation, where the implant type, size and surgical access are chosen for your body.

How the operation goes

The operation runs under general anaesthesia and takes about 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the case. You stay in the clinic for one day: the surgery, the first night in an inpatient ward with round-the-clock nursing care, and discharge the next morning with aftercare instructions. The plan, the implant choice and the price are fixed in the contract before the operation; the first consultation, including modelling of the result, is free.

On the day itself the marking is done standing, the implant boxes and sizes are checked together with you, and the anaesthetist runs a final review. After the operation a support garment is fitted, and the first night passes in the ward, where nurses watch the bandages and help with the first getting-up.

Recovery after implant surgery

The clinic follows you for a full year after surgery, with check-ups built into the price.

Timing matters as much as the operation: plan it away from active weight loss and major life changes, because the result is designed for current proportions and a shift of ten or fifteen kilograms changes how the implants sit. If the size feels uncertain, say so openly; the modelling with sizers exists precisely to compare volumes before the decision is written down.

How long implants last

Modern silicone implants are not lifetime devices, but there is no fixed replacement date: intact implants without symptoms usually do not need replacing at 10 years. Surgeons often mention 10 to 15 years as a typical horizon before a first revision, an average across many women rather than a deadline. Regular check-ups and imaging track the implants over the years, and the surgeon explains the signs that would need attention.

Frequently asked questions

How much does breast augmentation cost?

A fixed $4,700 at our centre ($5,900 without the discount). The price includes the operation, the implant, the day in the clinic and a year of follow-up, and it is fixed in the contract.

Round or anatomical implants: which is better?

Neither is better in general: round adds fullness at the top, anatomical repeats the teardrop line. The choice depends on your anatomy and the result you want, and it is made at the consultation.

How long do breast implants last?

Many stay intact for 10 to 20 years; surgeons mention 10 to 15 years as a typical horizon before a first revision. There is no fixed replacement date if the implants are intact and symptom-free.

When can I go back to work?

After 7–14 days for work without physical exertion. For three weeks there is no lifting over 3 kg and no raising the arms above shoulder level.

When will the breasts look natural?

At about one month the swelling has subsided and the breasts take on a natural shape and softness; by three months the pocket is formed and comfort is back to normal.

Does augmentation fix sagging?

No, implants add volume. If the breast has dropped, a lift is combined with the augmentation; the surgeon tells you at the consultation which operation you actually need.
