What to expect
An agreed correction plan, inpatient observation and recovery monitoring for a year.
1The surgeon examines your figure, discusses your wishes and selects the best volume, shape and correction method.
2We reserve a surgery date for you: the deposit can be paid by card at the clinic or online by bank transfer. The terms are fixed in the contract for medical services
3A complete pre-operative check-up comes first: blood tests, an ECG and the other examinations prescribed by your doctor.
4Mammoplasty is performed according to your individual plan. The surgery is done under general anesthesia while your condition is monitored throughout.
5After surgery you stay in the clinic's comfortable inpatient ward under the care of the medical team until discharge.
6After surgery you get a recovery programme. Check-ups at 7 days, 3 and 6 months help track your recovery. For a year after surgery, consultations with your surgeon are free.

Aspirin-containing drugs, steroids and hormonal medications for chronic conditions must be stopped before surgery
Come off hormonal oral contraceptives no later than a month before the procedure
Get your tests a week ahead of surgery
Before surgery, follow a few simple steps: keep a healthy work-rest balance, sleep more, avoid stress, anxiety and strong emotions, and reduce physical activity.
Avoid heavy gym workouts and overly energetic aerobics for up to 40 days; after a month, light cardio may be allowed. Mind your diet and your meals.
Post-operative swelling disappears in 3 weeks
After 3 months, discomfort disappears
Scars take shape within 3 weeks

FAQ
Under mammoplasty come several procedures: augmentation (increasing volume using implants), reduction (excess tissue and skin removal), mastopexy (lifting for sagging), reconstruction (after mastectomy) and correcting asymmetry. The surgeon's advice and your wishes guide an individual choice of the best method.
Message us — our coordinator will get back to you shortly and book your consultation. The plastic surgeon consultation is free.
Complications rarely happen when all recommendations are respected. Possible ones are hematoma or seroma, wound infection, reduced or increased sensitivity of the nipple, capsular contracture, aesthetic asymmetry, wound separation and tissue necrosis.
Mammoplasty gives a lasting result: around 10–15 years after augmentation (up to implant replacement) and 5–10 years after a lift or reduction. How long it holds depends on weight, pregnancy, skin aging and gravity. To keep the result, wear supportive underwear and keep your weight under control.
Breastfeeding after mammoplasty depends on which surgery was done. When augmentation is performed through an under-breast or armpit incision and the implant sits under the muscle, lactation is usually kept, as the glandular tissue stays intact. With a lift or reduction the risk rises, because ducts may be cut. Discuss this with your surgeon in advance.
Selecting an implant means weighing material (silicone looks the most natural, saline is less often used), shape (round or anatomical teardrop), surface (smooth or textured), size and profile. The surgeon then chooses the optimal option for your anatomy and wishes.
Because the operation is done under general anesthesia, the patient feels no pain. The first 1–3 days may bring moderate discomfort, eased with painkillers. By day 5–7 the pain is much milder, and by weeks 2–3 the discomfort disappears. Let your doctor know immediately if pain is severe.
Most patients return to work (without physical exertion) after 7–14 days. Light walks are fine after 1–2 weeks. Fitness and swimming come after 4–6 weeks, strength training after 3 months, pool and sea after 4–6 weeks. Compression garments are worn for 4–6 weeks. Exact timing depends on your recovery.
There is no scientific proof linking mammoplasty to a higher breast cancer risk. Implants do not cause cancer. Continue regular screening after surgery, including self-exams, mammography and ultrasound, and always inform the examining doctor about your implants.
After a C-section, mammoplasty can be done once the body has fully healed. At least 6–12 months should pass after delivery and after breastfeeding ends. A consultation and examination by a surgeon are required before the operation.
Mammoplasty does leave scars, but in the hands of a skilled surgeon they are minimal. Incisions are placed in hidden areas: under the breast, around the areola or in the armpit. Scars look reddish in the first months, yet within 6–12 months they fade and become nearly invisible.
In the first weeks after surgery, slight asymmetry is normal: swelling and uneven healing are behind it. If shape or size still differ after 3–6 months, see your surgeon for a check-up to find the reason.
Sensitivity in the nipples and breasts may shift temporarily after mammoplasty, decreasing or increasing, because the nerve endings are irritated. It returns within 3–12 months in most cases. If it has not improved after a year, go see your surgeon.
Hormonal drugs (contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy) do not affect implants themselves, but they can cause swelling or a change in breast tissue volume that alters the appearance for a time. Always inform your surgeon about them ahead of surgery.

Some patients want a modest change, others a noticeable one; both are possible with implants. Breast enlargement for Kut residents means an individually planned operation in which the surgeon selects implant type and placement. There is no scientific evidence that mammoplasty raises breast cancer risk, and implants do not cause cancer, though regular screening should continue afterwards.
Here is the route in brief. Consultation and choice of implants. Lab tests and instrumental examinations. Surgery lasting on average 1.5 to 3 hours. One day under round-the-clock observation. Then a recovery program with swelling control and compression garments, plus check-ups at one week, three months and half a year. Women in Kut follow this same sequence.
What do you pay for? From $4,700 (≈ IQD 6,200,000) covers the operation itself and everything around it: preparation with the surgeon, anesthesia, one day in an inpatient room with meals and 24/7 supervision, then twelve months of dressings, check-ups and surgeon follow-up. Consultations with the plastic surgeon are free. Anyone from Kut can apply via the form or any messenger to arrange one.

I went to Dmitry Sergeyevich for breast augmentation with implants. At the consultation everything was explained in detail, and together we chose the best size. The operation under combined anaesthesia took 2 hours, and I was discharged home the next day. The swelling went down in about a month, and my breasts look very natural. The year of follow-up care is a real lifesaver: you can always ask a question and get an answer. Thank you to the clinic!

After two births I decided on a breast lift without implants. I chose Dmitry Sergeyevich and have no regrets. The result exceeded all my expectations: my breasts are lifted and the shape is youthful and firm. The incisions are minimal and almost invisible. I spent one day in the hospital, and the room was very comfortable. I recommend him!

Kut has long traded in carpets and grown cereals, and anyone raised near a loom knows that one crooked knot spoils a whole row. Bring that careful eye to a mirror before any breast augmentation. The aim is not a flawless pair, since no pair is identical, but a balance you can describe. Write down what bothers you in specific terms: a difference in size, the height of the fold, the position of the nipple or a lack of fullness at the top after breastfeeding.
Those notes become your first message to the coordinators of City Medical Centre on Telegram or Telegram, where someone answers at any hour. A line such as I want a nicer shape tells the surgeon nothing. A line such as my left side is clearly smaller and the upper part feels empty since I stopped feeding gives a precise brief. With that, the surgeon reads your photographs with a particular question in mind and the reply addresses your situation instead of offering general reassurance.
Three photographs are enough: front and both sides, in plain daylight near a white wall if possible, arms resting at your sides. Some women add two tape measurements, around the chest and just beneath it, which saves the surgeon time at the first estimate. Once the written reply arrives, read it slowly. It may reveal that what you need is closer to a lift than to an enlargement, and that is better learned now than after a decision has hardened.
Comparing stories is tempting, but a rug woven on one loom cannot be copied onto another, and one woman's result does not transfer to another body. Ask the surgeon why a particular shape is recommended for you, then say honestly whether the description matches what you picture. A frank exchange at this stage costs very little. Correcting a mismatch later costs far more, in time, comfort and confidence.
Kut lies only 23 metres above sea level on the left bank of the Tigris, in a deep U-shaped bend, and in the hot months southerly winds carry dust into streets and houses. A fresh wound dislikes dust. Keep the dressing covered as the team instructs, never lift it with unwashed hands, wipe floors and surfaces the day before you return home, wash the bed linen and replace the air-conditioner filter so the room you recover in is as clean as you can make it.
Average highs reach about 43.5 degrees in July and 43.8 in August, while January nights fall to roughly five and a half degrees. Rain, about 138 millimetres a year, comes between November and March. A simple rule works well: cool the recovery room with a gentle current of air that does not blow straight onto your body, close windows when a dust storm builds, and lay a damp towel along the bottom of the door if the wind finds gaps.
The compression garment is worn for four to six weeks, so choose soft cotton and keep two or three so one can dry. Sweat plus dust on covered skin causes itching and rashes. If you see redness spreading around a scar, photograph it in the same light as earlier pictures and send it to the coordinator promptly. An issue caught early is a minor matter, while one ignored for days because it seemed trivial can turn into something far more bothersome.
Once the first weeks pass and you start walking outdoors, wear sunglasses and a hat and keep fresh scars out of direct sunlight, which can darken them in the early months. Ask the surgeon which sun product suits your skin and when to start using it. If your work is outdoors, request a written opinion on when you may return to that kind of work safely, because outdoor labour combines dust, heat and strain on the arms.
Since February 2016, public hospitals in Iraq have charged patients for individual services, according to published accounts of the health system. We found nothing indicating that the public system covers cosmetic surgery such as breast augmentation, which is generally treated as a private choice. The most useful thing you can do before booking is therefore to ask the coordinator exactly what the plan includes and to receive the answer in writing, line by line.
Phrase the questions concretely. Does the plan include the implant itself and its record card? Does it cover the day in hospital and the anesthesia? What about medicines after discharge and the compression garment? How are follow-up reviews handled? What happens if your case needs a small adjustment later? Every item agreed in advance prevents a misunderstanding after you have already committed, and it shows how seriously a team takes clarity.
Do not agree to any payment or obligation until you have read the surgeon's complete reply and accepted it, and until you feel the team has answered difficult questions plainly. Serious providers do not rush you, and they accept that you may return after two weeks with a different decision. The first assessment from photographs commits you to nothing; keep the reply and read it together with someone you trust.
An item often forgotten is the implant card. You should leave hospital holding a record of the type, size and batch number of what was placed in your body. It will be needed for breast imaging in the future and for any consultation with another doctor. Ask for it before discharge, photograph it with your phone and keep a copy somewhere safe and dry. Without it, answering simple questions years later can become guesswork.
Surgery day begins with general anesthesia, and afterwards you remain one day in hospital. The team watches the dressings and vital signs and sets your pain relief for the first night. Arrange in advance who will carry your things, pack shirts that button at the front so you never need to lift your arms, and remember that raising them above shoulder level is off limits in the early weeks. Bring a charged phone and your list of medicines.
Between seven and fourteen days you can resume work without physical exertion. By week three the early swelling disappears and scars form, while the limit of three kilograms on lifting continues. For many women the first to third weeks are hardest emotionally, because the breasts look high, swollen and unnatural. That is expected. Judge the direction of change rather than the appearance on any single day, and send your photographs on schedule.
At one month the swelling subsides and the breasts take on a natural shape and softness. Between four and six weeks fitness, swimming, pool and sea are allowed, and the garment stays on for the same period. If you live beside the river, the water will tempt you, but the Tigris is not a sterile pool and a healing incision should not meet it; ask the surgeon when it is safe and begin in a treated pool if swimming is approved.
Three months marks stability: discomfort disappears, inflammatory changes resolve and a pocket forms around the implant, and strength training can start. Keep a notebook with dates, sensations and weekly photos. When you meet the surgeon you will bring a documented story instead of general impressions, and it becomes easy to judge whether everything is on course or whether a small intervention should be planned.
Opposite Kut stands the old site of Wasit, founded by al-Hajjaj around 702, and the Kut Barrage dates from the 1930s. The University of Wasit opened in 2003 with fifteen colleges. A place with that mix of heritage and study is not startled by questions from patients. Ask freely: what is the surgeon's specialty, where was he or she trained, how many similar operations have been done and what happens when a complication appears? Precise answers are a sign of respect, not an affront.
The Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations was founded in 1986, began training in 1988 and certifies physicians in 37 specialties. Request the surgeon's certificates and training history, which is an entirely ordinary request. We could not locate a public page through which patients verify a doctor's licence themselves, so the documents provided by the surgeon and the coordinator are the basis of your trust, and a refusal to supply them is an answer in itself.
When you read the surgeon's written reply, look for three things: a clear assessment of your own situation rather than slogans, an honest description of what can and cannot be achieved, and a frank list of possible complications with the way each is treated. A surgeon who devotes part of the reply to risks is treating you as the person who decides. If the reply lacks all of this, ask again or request a second opinion.
Kut district counted 654,110 people and Wasit governorate 1,644,273 in the census of 25 November 2024, with about 1,045,103 living in urban areas. In a place where neighbours know each other, privacy may matter greatly. Tell the coordinator in the first message and ask that communication stay within the accounts you choose. Friday and Saturday are the weekend in Iraq, so schedule messages and checks to avoid days when relatives are visiting.
Use everyday words for what bothers you now: smaller on one side, less fullness after feeding, a fold that sits too low. Attach a photo of a shape you like as a reference and let the surgeon translate it into technical terms. This kind of free description is more useful than choosing a size with no context, because it shows the goal against which any option will be measured.
Make the recovery room clean and cool, replace the air-conditioner filter before the date and close windows during dust storms. Never touch the dressing with unwashed hands, and change clothes and bed linen regularly. If redness spreads or pain increases, photograph the area and send it to the coordinator immediately, who is reachable day and night.
We found nothing showing that the public system covers cosmetic surgery, and since February 2016 public hospitals in Iraq have charged patients for individual services. For that reason ask the coordinator for every element of the plan in detail and insist on a written answer before you commit to anything.
Surgery is performed under general anesthesia and you spend one day in hospital. The team checks the dressings and vital signs, controls the pain of the first night and gives written instructions for the following days. A relative should accompany you to hear the instructions, since the anesthetic may leave you tired.
Work without physical exertion is possible after seven to fourteen days. After three weeks the early swelling goes and scars form, but lifting over three kilograms is still not allowed. Between four and six weeks fitness and swimming resume, and strength training waits until about three months.
Ask the surgeon first. Swimming in a pool or open water generally resumes after four to six weeks with approval, but river water is not sterile and an incision that has not fully closed reacts badly to it. Wait for confirmation that the wounds have closed, and start in a treated pool.
The implant card with type, size and batch number, written aftercare instructions, the follow-up schedule and contact numbers. Photograph each page with your phone and keep a second copy. You will need them for any breast imaging or consultation in the future.
Ask for certificates, the training history and the number of breast augmentations he or she has performed. The Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations, founded in 1986, trains and certifies in 37 specialties, but we found no public page allowing a patient to check a licence directly. Rely on the documents supplied, and pause if anyone declines to provide them.
