What is liposuction
and who is it for?

Liposuction is surgery that takes excess subcutaneous fat out of problem zones. It does not make you lose weight and does not replace diet or exercise. What it does is targeted contouring — removing thigh saddlebags, a sagging belly and fat on the back, flanks, arms or chin.

Liposuction suits people whose specific areas hold on to fat despite a normal weight and an active lifestyle. The key point: fat cells removed from treated areas do not grow back, so with a steady lifestyle the result lasts for a long time.

Liposuction techniques at City Medical Centre

Tumescent (classic) liposuction

Into the treatment area goes a special saline-based solution with lidocaine, adrenaline and several other agents. It loosens fat tissue and narrows the vessels, keeping blood loss minimal and letting the fat be removed gently. The resulting emulsion is suctioned out through a thin cannula.

Swelling and bruising are close to none after the operation, and recovery is considerably easier than after a conventional procedure.

VASER liposuction (ultrasound)

Before vacuum removal, ultrasound breaks the fat cells down. This makes the method ideal for body contouring and for defining pronounced muscle relief, i.e. athletic abs.

It also suits delicate areas.

How the surgery goes: from consultation to result

Surgeon consultation

At the visit the doctor listens to your goals, examines you, assesses the fat deposits and rules out contraindications. City Medical Centre adds a hormonal screening, which helps predict the long-term result.

Pre-operative tests

A chest X-ray, ECG and blood tests (complete count, coagulation panel, biochemistry, infections — HIV, hepatitis, syphilis), plus a GP consultation if needed.

All tests can be done at the clinic with no waiting.

Preparation

2 weeks before: stop medications that affect blood clotting. A week before: no alcohol and no smoking, so you heal faster. 8 hours before: your final meal.

Surgery day

Meeting your surgeon, marking the areas and fitting compression garments. Depending on the scope, anesthesia is local or general.
Length of surgery: from 1 hour (small areas) to 3–4 hours (combined procedure).

Waking up and monitoring

Hospital stay: one day under observation after general anesthesia, or discharge 3–4 hours after surgery with local anesthesia.

Recovery

Compression garments are worn for 30–45 days. First results show in 3–4 weeks as swelling goes down. The final result is assessed at 3 months, once the skin has fully tightened.

Recovery after liposuction

After tumescent liposuction you recover much faster than after a conventional procedure — most patients are back at work in 3–7 days. A little swelling and a raised temperature in the first week are a normal response to surgery. Compression garments stay on for 30–45 days, fixing the new contours and speeding up tissue recovery. In the first month, avoid the bathhouse, sauna, pool and intense sport. To get the best result and recover faster, we recommend lymphatic drainage massage, pressotherapy and a gradual return to activity. Visible changes appear in 3–4 weeks and the final result at 3 months.

Liposuction: frequently asked questions

About liposuction for patients from Meerut

Before any decision on liposuction in Meerut, it helps to know how the clinic approaches it. An endocrinologist rules out hormonal causes of excess fat, which improves the long-term result. Surgery uses tumescent and VASER techniques and closed fat-harvesting systems with precise volume control. Liposuction can also be combined with other procedures, for example a tummy tuck for the abdomen.

Here is the route in brief. Consultation and hormonal screening. Blood tests, ECG and chest X-ray at the clinic. Two weeks of preparation. Marking and compression garments on the day, then surgery under local or general anaesthesia. Observation, discharge, 30–45 days in compression and check-ups at 7 days and 3 months. Patients in Meerut follow this same sequence.

How much is liposuction in Meerut? Prices start at $1,200, depending on the zone and the scope of surgery. Treating several areas in one operation often saves both recovery time and budget. The exact cost is confirmed once the surgeon has examined you, and it is then fixed in the contract. Start with a free consultation by sending a request or messaging us.
