Step by step
A personal correction plan, inpatient observation and a year of recovery monitoring.
1The surgeon examines your figure, discusses your wishes and selects the best volume, shape and correction method.
2Your surgery date is reserved for you: the deposit can be paid by card at the clinic or online by bank transfer, and the terms are fixed in the medical services contract
3Before the operation you take a full set of tests: blood tests, an ECG and any other examinations the doctor prescribes.
4Mammoplasty is performed according to your individual plan. The surgery is done under general anesthesia while your condition is monitored throughout.
5After surgery you stay in the clinic's comfortable inpatient ward under the care of the medical team until discharge.
6A recovery programme is prescribed after surgery. Check-ups at 7 days, 3 and 6 months follow your recovery, and for a year after surgery you consult your surgeon for free.

Aspirin-containing drugs, steroids and hormonal medications for chronic conditions must be stopped before surgery
Hormonal oral contraceptives should be stopped at least a month before the procedure
Get your tests a week ahead of surgery
Before the operation, follow some easy steps: maintain a sound work-rest balance, sleep more, avoid stress, anxiety and strong feelings, and reduce your physical load.
Skip intense gym training for up to 40 days and avoid overly active aerobics; light cardio may be possible after a month. Pay attention to your diet and meals.
Post-operative swelling disappears in 3 weeks
After 3 months, discomfort disappears
Scars form in 3 weeks
Avoid physical exertion (lifting over 3 kg)
In 3 months any inflammatory changes in the tissue disappear, and a “pocket” forms around the implant
Part of recovery after the correction is wearing compression garments for 1–1.5 months
Keep arms below shoulder level — 3 weeks
For up to three months, no baths, no saunas and no physiotherapy

FAQ
Mammoplasty covers several procedures: augmentation (increasing volume with implants), reduction (removing excess tissue and skin), mastopexy (lift for sagging), reconstruction (after mastectomy) and asymmetry correction. The best method is chosen individually based on your wishes and the surgeon's advice.
Message us — our coordinator will get back to you shortly and book your consultation. The plastic surgeon consultation is free.
If you follow all the recommendations, complications are rare; they may, however, include hematoma or seroma, wound infection, decreased or heightened nipple sensitivity, capsular contracture, aesthetic asymmetry, wound separation and tissue necrosis.
A mammoplasty result lasts a long time, about 10–15 years after augmentation (until implants need replacing) and 5–10 years after a lift or reduction. Its longevity is affected by weight, pregnancy, skin aging and gravity. Supportive underwear and weight control help preserve it.
Breastfeeding after mammoplasty depends on the type of surgery. With augmentation through an under-breast or armpit incision and the implant placed under the muscle, lactation is usually preserved — the glandular tissue is not damaged. After a lift or reduction the risk is higher because ducts may be cut. Discuss this with your surgeon in advance.
In choosing implants, the surgeon considers material (silicone looks most natural, saline is less common), shape (round or anatomical teardrop), surface (smooth or textured), size and profile, and selects the best option for your anatomy and wishes.
The operation is done under general anesthesia, so the patient feels nothing. Over the first 1–3 days moderate discomfort may occur and is eased with painkillers. By day 5–7 pain drops noticeably, and by weeks 2–3 the discomfort has gone. If the pain is severe, let your doctor know at once.
Work (without physical strain) is possible after 7–14 days. Gentle walks after 1–2 weeks. Fitness and swimming after 4–6 weeks, strength workouts after 3 months. The pool and sea after 4–6 weeks. Compression garments are needed for 4–6 weeks. Exact dates depend on how your recovery goes.
Science offers no evidence that mammoplasty increases breast cancer risk. Implants are not a cause of cancer. After the operation, keep having regular screening: self-exams, mammography and ultrasound. Make sure the examining doctor always knows about your implants.
Mammoplasty can follow a C-section, but first your body must fully recover. Allow a minimum of 6–12 months from giving birth and from the end of breastfeeding. Before surgery, a consultation and check-up with the surgeon are required.
Mammoplasty leaves scars, yet a skilled surgeon makes them minimal. Incisions are made where they are hidden: under the breast, around the areola or in the armpit. Scars are reddish at first, and within 6–12 months they fade until they are almost invisible.
During the first weeks after the operation, slight asymmetry is normal, since swelling and healing are uneven. If a size or shape difference continues after 3–6 months, see your surgeon for an exam to find its cause.
Mammoplasty may temporarily alter the sensitivity of the nipples and breasts, making it lower or higher. This is caused by irritated nerve endings. In most cases it recovers within 3–12 months. If you see no improvement after a year, contact your surgeon.
Hormonal drugs (contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy) have no direct effect on implants, but they can cause swelling or changes in breast tissue volume that temporarily alter appearance. Always tell your surgeon about such medications before surgery.

Some patients want a modest change, others a noticeable one; both are possible with implants. Breast enlargement for Annaba residents means an individually planned operation in which the surgeon selects implant type and placement. There is no scientific evidence that mammoplasty raises breast cancer risk, and implants do not cause cancer, though regular screening should continue afterwards.
Before the operation, a healthy balance of work and rest helps: sleep more, avoid stress and reduce physical activity for 1–2 months. Afterwards, avoid lifting over 3 kg and intense gym workouts for about 40 days; light cardio becomes possible after a month. Within three months the tissue settles and a pocket forms around the implant. Clear guidance is given to every Annaba patient.
The fixed price starts at $4,700 (≈ DZD 630,000), and everything essential is already in it: anesthesia, the hospital stay and a year of follow-up by your plastic surgeon. A breast lift with implants is $5,400 (≈ DZD 730,000), implant removal $3,300 (≈ DZD 445,000). Annaba residents can book the first consultation free of charge and ask about in-house instalments.

I went to Dmitry Sergeyevich for breast augmentation with implants. At the consultation everything was explained in detail, and together we chose the best size. The operation under combined anaesthesia took 2 hours, and I was discharged home the next day. The swelling went down in about a month, and my breasts look very natural. The year of follow-up care is a real lifesaver: you can always ask a question and get an answer. Thank you to the clinic!

In a coastal city, the question of breast augmentation often surfaces in spring, when swimwear shops fill and the sea starts to look inviting again. Annaba has beaches within easy reach of almost every neighbourhood, and women who have avoided them for years, or avoided certain clothes, start to ask what an operation would involve. The practical answer is that the timetable of the recovery should be set against the calendar of the summer, not the other way round.
Start with a conversation, not a decision. Write to the coordinators describing what you want in ordinary words: more fullness after breastfeeding, a balance between sides, a shape that suits the shoulders. Attach photographs taken in daylight, front and both sides, without a padded bra. A surgeon reads those pictures together with your height and build, and nothing in the exchange commits you to a booking or a date.
The city counted 464,740 residents in 2019, and about a million in the surrounding agglomeration, among them students, nurses, teachers and women who run family businesses. Their reasons differ, yet most of them mention the same worry first: will I look natural? That is a fair question for the surgeon, and a fair surgeon will talk about proportion to the frame and shoulders rather than about a number copied from a picture on a phone.
Gather your own list before the first reply arrives. How much time can you spare in the first fortnight, who will help at home, what kind of work do you do with your arms, and are there earlier operations or health conditions the surgeon should know? Answers on paper turn a vague enquiry into a plan that two offers can be compared against line by line.
Think about the clothes you actually wear, not the ones in an advertisement. A woman who spends her evenings along the Cours de la Révolution in light summer dresses, and one who wears a loose coat most of the year, will have different priorities. Tell the surgeon about both your daily wardrobe and the occasions you save clothes for, because a plan built around your own life is easier to judge honestly.
The operation is carried out under general anaesthesia, and the anaesthetist is the person who decides on the details after reading your medical history. Tell the team about every medicine, supplement and allergy, including herbal drinks and vitamins that seem harmless. Fasting instructions arrive in writing before the date. A calm evening before, a short bag and a clear head do more for your comfort than any clever tip.
After the surgery you stay in hospital for one day. That is a short stay, and it means the first real night of recovery happens at home, where you must be able to rest without effort. Prepare a bed with several pillows so you can sleep slightly raised, put water and medicines within reach, and keep a phone charger beside you. These small arrangements decide how the first night feels.
Ask a relative or friend to be the one person who receives news and passes it on. Families in the city are close and generous with visits, and a hospital room can fill quickly. Visitors who stay long tire the patient and bring the temperature of the room up. Set a short list of names, and ask the rest to send a message instead of coming in person.
On the day you go home, take the written instructions and read them with your companion before you leave. Photograph any page that is unclear and send it to the coordinators. They pass the question to the surgeon and return a plain answer, and because they are reachable at all hours, a question that occurs to you at midnight does not have to wait for the morning.
Do not expect to feel like yourself on the first evening. Drowsiness, a tight chest and a dry mouth are part of waking from general anaesthesia, and they pass. Ask your companion to stay in the room until you can walk to the bathroom on your own. Keep the first meal light and the phone on silent, and answer messages the next day, when your head is clear.
Many patients return to work after seven to fourteen days, provided the job involves no physical exertion. Desk work, teaching in a seated position or reception duties fit well. Work at a market stall, in a kitchen or in a hospital ward that involves lifting is another matter. Tell the surgeon exactly what your arms do in a normal day, and ask for a written note you can hand to your employer.
For the first three weeks the rules are simple to state and tiring to follow: nothing heavier than three kilograms, and no raising the arms above shoulder level. That rules out lifting a child, carrying a full shopping bag, pulling a suitcase and reaching a high cupboard. Move daily items to waist height before the operation, and arrange who carries the groceries so you do not have to improvise.
Swelling after surgery disappears around the three-week mark, and the scars begin to form. The temptation at this point is to feel recovered and resume everything at once. Keep the restrictions until the surgeon lifts them. Women who run a house alone often find the third week the hardest, because they feel well and the pile of undone tasks looks enormous. Decide in advance which tasks wait.
A compression garment is worn for four to six weeks. In Annaba's summer, with August highs averaging 31.8 °C and nights near 20.4 °C, a snug garment can feel heavy, so keep a second one and wash them in turns. In winter, when January highs reach about 16.5 °C, it hides easily under clothes. Ask the surgeon before changing the way it is worn.
The fortnight after surgery is also the right time to arrange small helpers: a niece who brings the shopping, a neighbour who collects children from school, a sister who hangs the washing. Say plainly what you need, and for how many days. People are usually glad to help when the request is precise, and precise requests save the patient from the quiet temptation to do one more task alone.
At about one month the swelling subsides and the breasts take on a natural shape and softness. Before that, the shape you see in the mirror is a work in progress, sometimes higher on one side, sometimes firmer than you expected. This is the stage when worried messages arrive, and the coordinators are used to them. Send a clear photograph in good light instead of describing the problem in words.
Between four and six weeks, fitness, swimming, the pool and the sea come back into the picture, provided the surgeon agrees. For anyone eager for a beach day, this is a valuable fixed point. If your operation falls in early spring, you may be ready for the water by the time the sea warms. If it falls in summer, accept that your first swim is a few weeks away.
At three months the discomfort disappears, the inflammatory changes settle and a pocket forms around the implant. Strength training can then resume. Increase it gradually: begin with light weights and watch how the chest muscles respond. If a particular movement hurts or pulls, pause it and mention it to the surgeon. Patience at this point protects the outcome you waited months to see.
Rainy months are easier for recovery than they appear. November brings 126.2 mm of rain and January about 100.4 mm, which keeps you indoors and makes the restrictions easier to keep. Plan books, films and calls with friends for those weeks, and use dry days for short walks on flat ground. Annual rainfall of 772.9 mm over 84 days leaves plenty of clear afternoons.
Students and young staff at Badji Mokhtar University, a city institution that counted over 40,000 students in 2004, often ask about timing around exams and term dates. The honest answer is to count backwards from the date of the restrictions: three weeks of light arms, four to six weeks of garment and no pool, three months before strength work. Put those dates on a calendar before choosing a month.
In Algeria nobody may practise medicine without being entered on the Tableau, the official register kept by the Order of Physicians. The national council works through twelve regional councils. A surgeon should name the registration and specialty without discomfort and put it in writing. If the answer is vague or comes with irritation, take that as information and compare with another offer.
Do not assume there is an online directory you can search: it has not been confirmed that the national council runs one. The sturdier route is to call or write to your regional council and ask how they confirm a doctor's enrolment. Then match the name on the document with the name in the written plan. The whole exercise takes a short time and removes the biggest uncertainty.
Compare offers by what is written: the type of anaesthesia, the length of the hospital stay, the follow-up visits, and what happens if you have a concern in the second week. Ask for the implant details to be given to you on paper after the operation, so you hold the information yourself. A plan that answers each question in plain words is worth more than a warm conversation.
Annaba has long valued paperwork, from the records of Hippo Regius, where Saint Augustine was bishop between 396 and 430, to the manifests of today's port. Bring that habit to your decision. Questions from family and friends are welcome too: collect them in one list and send them together, so the replies come as one clear set that everyone at home can read.
The anaesthetist uses general anaesthesia. The details are decided after reading your medical history, so tell the team about every medicine, supplement and allergy. Fasting instructions come in writing before the date, and you should follow them exactly.
You stay in hospital for one day after the surgery. The first full night of recovery is therefore at home, so prepare a bed with extra pillows, keep water and medicines within reach and have someone nearby who can help.
After seven to fourteen days, if the work involves no physical exertion. Jobs that need lifting or heavy use of the arms are different, so describe your daily tasks to the surgeon and ask for a written note for your employer.
Do not lift more than three kilograms and do not raise your arms above shoulder level. Swelling disappears around the three-week mark and the scars begin to form. Keep the restrictions until the surgeon lifts them, even if you feel entirely well.
At about one month the swelling subsides and the breasts take on a natural shape and softness. Before that the shape is still changing, and one side may look different from the other. If you worry, send a clear photograph in daylight to the coordinators.
Fitness, swimming, the pool and the sea return between four and six weeks, with the surgeon's agreement. A compression garment is worn for the same four to six weeks. Strength training comes at about three months, when the discomfort has gone, and should be restarted gradually.
A doctor in Algeria must be on the Tableau kept by the Order of Physicians, which works through twelve regional councils. Ask the surgeon for the registration and specialty in writing, and ask your regional council how it confirms enrolment.
Write to the coordinators in your own words and attach daylight photographs from the front and both sides. Add height, build, earlier operations and medicines. The reply is an opinion, not a booking, and the coordinators are available around the clock.
