The surgeon examines the shape and proportions of your breasts at the consultation, discusses your goals and picks the mammoplasty option that fits you best.
The consultation is free, before surgery and with no commitment.
Comparison
We work with two main types of implants: round and anatomical. Both add volume and correct the shape of the breasts, but they differ in shape and in the kind of result.

The process
A correction plan agreed with you, inpatient observation and a year of follow-up.
1The surgeon looks at your figure, talks through your wishes and picks the best volume, shape and correction method.
2A surgery date is booked in your name: pay the deposit by card at the clinic or by online bank transfer. The terms are recorded in the contract for medical services
3Ahead of surgery you go through full testing — blood tests, an ECG and other examinations as prescribed by the doctor.
4The surgeon performs mammoplasty according to your individual plan. The operation takes place under general anesthesia with continuous patient monitoring.
5Following surgery, you recover in a comfortable inpatient ward of the clinic with the medical team looking after you until discharge.
6After surgery you get a recovery programme. Check-ups at 7 days, 3 and 6 months help track your recovery. For a year after surgery, consultations with your surgeon are free.

Before surgery, stop taking drugs that contain aspirin, as well as steroids and hormonal medicines for chronic conditions
Discontinue hormonal oral contraceptives at least a month ahead of the procedure
Get your tests a week ahead of surgery
Some simple steps help before surgery: a healthy work-life balance, more sleep, avoiding stress, anxiety and strong emotions, and less physical activity.
Refrain from intense gym training for up to 40 days and from very active aerobics; light cardio is possible after a month. Follow your diet and meals.
Post-op swelling disappears after 3 weeks
Discomfort fades after 3 months
Scars form within 3 weeks
Avoid exertion (lifting over 3 kg)
Over 3 months, all inflammatory changes in the tissue resolve and a “pocket” forms around the implant
Recovering after correction includes 1–1.5 months of wearing compression wear
Do not raise arms above shoulder level for 3 weeks
Up to three months without baths or saunas, and without physiotherapy

FAQ
Several procedures fall under mammoplasty: augmentation (volume increase with implants), reduction (excision of extra tissue and skin), mastopexy (lift of sagging breasts), reconstruction (after mastectomy) and asymmetry correction. The right method is chosen for each patient according to her wishes and the surgeon's advice.
Message us — our coordinator will get back to you shortly and book your consultation. The plastic surgeon consultation is free.
When all recommendations are followed, complications are rare. They can include hematoma or seroma, wound infection, reduced or heightened nipple sensitivity, capsular contracture, aesthetic asymmetry, wound separation and tissue necrosis.
Results after mammoplasty last a long while: about 10–15 years for augmentation (until implant replacement) and 5–10 years for a lift or reduction. Weight changes, pregnancy, skin aging and gravity affect their duration. To maintain the result, choose supportive underwear and control your weight.
Breastfeeding after mammoplasty depends on the procedure. Augmentation through an under-breast or armpit incision with a submuscular implant usually keeps lactation intact, since glandular tissue is not damaged. With a lift or reduction the risk is higher, because ducts may be cut. Be sure to discuss this with your surgeon in advance.
Selecting an implant means weighing material (silicone looks the most natural, saline is less often used), shape (round or anatomical teardrop), surface (smooth or textured), size and profile. The surgeon then chooses the optimal option for your anatomy and wishes.
The surgery is carried out under general anesthesia, and the patient feels nothing. Moderate discomfort is possible during the first 1–3 days and is relieved by pain medication. Pain falls significantly by day 5–7, and by weeks 2–3 discomfort is over. If you have severe pain, tell your doctor at once.
Work is possible after 7–14 days, as long as it involves no physical exertion. Take light walks after 1–2 weeks. Fitness and swimming after 4–6 weeks; strength training after 3 months. Pool and sea after 4–6 weeks. Compression garments are worn for 4–6 weeks. Timing depends on your recovery.
Scientific evidence does not show that mammoplasty increases breast cancer risk. Implants do not lead to cancer. After surgery, stay on top of regular screening through self-exams, mammography and ultrasound. Always let the examining doctor know you have implants.
It is possible to have mammoplasty after a C-section, provided the body has recovered fully. Wait no less than 6–12 months after birth and after finishing breastfeeding. A surgeon's consultation and examination are needed before the operation.
Mammoplasty does result in scars, but a skilled surgeon keeps them minimal. Incisions are made in areas that are out of sight: under the breast, around the areola or in the armpit. At first scars are reddish, and within 6–12 months they fade and become nearly invisible.
During the first weeks after the operation, slight asymmetry is normal, since swelling and healing are uneven. If a size or shape difference continues after 3–6 months, see your surgeon for an exam to find its cause.
Breast and nipple sensitivity may change for a time after mammoplasty, going down or up. The cause lies in irritation of nerve endings. In the majority of cases sensitivity is restored within 3–12 months. If nothing has improved after a year, consult your surgeon.
Implants are not directly affected by hormonal drugs (contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy), though these can cause swelling or changes in the volume of breast tissue and temporarily change appearance. Tell your surgeon about them before the operation.

Breast augmentation is a mammoplasty in which implants add volume and correct the shape of the breasts. For patients from Jinja, the surgeon helps choose the implant material, shape, surface, size and profile to match individual anatomy. Silicone implants give the most natural look, and both round and anatomical teardrop shapes are available. The procedure suits women who want fuller breasts or a better contour.
After the operation, check-ups are scheduled at 7 days, 3 months and 6 months. At each one the surgeon evaluates the result, monitors healing and answers questions. You can usually return to office work in 7–14 days, walk after 1–2 weeks and resume fitness in 4–6 weeks, with strength training after three months. The same schedule applies to Jinja patients.
How much is breast augmentation in Jinja? From $4,700 (≈ UGX 18,500,000) for the complete package. That sum includes the surgery, anesthesia, inpatient care with meals, round-the-clock monitoring by staff and a full year of post-op follow-up until the final result. To start, send your name and phone number or write in a messenger; a coordinator will contact you and book a free consultation.

I went to Dmitry Sergeyevich for breast augmentation with implants. At the consultation everything was explained in detail, and together we chose the best size. The operation under combined anaesthesia took 2 hours, and I was discharged home the next day. The swelling went down in about a month, and my breasts look very natural. The year of follow-up care is a real lifesaver: you can always ask a question and get an answer. Thank you to the clinic!

Jinja is a city in the Eastern Region of Uganda, on the north shore of Lake Victoria near the source of the Nile River. For many women who live here, the question of breast augmentation comes up slowly: after reading, talking with friends, and comparing what they hear with what a surgeon can actually explain. This text is written to help you prepare for that conversation in a calm, practical way, with Jinja's everyday rhythm in mind.
The first step is a free online consultation. You contact the coordinators from home, on WhatsApp or Telegram, and they are available around the clock, 24/7. You do not need to rearrange your working day to speak with them. A coordinator will call you back 24/7, so a message sent late in the evening after the market, the factory shift or the school day can still be answered on your schedule.
Our approach is built around your time: we work 24/7, booking is easy, and our personal approach adapts to your pace. Nobody expects you to decide in one call. Many women in Jinja prefer to write down their questions over several days, send photos and medical history, and only then speak with a surgeon.
Jinja has the second largest economy in Uganda. The main economic activity takes place in the central business district, and the city has a long industrial history linked to the nearby electric power station at the Owen Falls Dam. The Kakira Sugar Works, one of the largest sugar factories in East Africa, is the biggest local employer, and other employers include a steel manufacturer, a palm oil refinery and the brewery at Njeru across the Nile.
For breast augmentation this matters because your recovery plan should fit your job. A woman who works in an office, a shop, a school or a bank has different needs from a woman whose work involves lifting, long standing or repetitive arm movements on a production line or at a market stall. The medical guidance is the same for everyone: you may go back to work, with no physical exertion, after 7–14 days. If your work is physical, tell the surgeon at the very first consultation so that you can discuss how to arrange lighter duties.
Jinja is also a city with a large number of working households, and many women support family members. That makes planning ahead sensible. Think about who will help at home during the first days, who will carry shopping and water containers, and who can look after small children while you avoid lifting more than 3 kg.
Living beside Lake Victoria gives Jinja a warm, humid atmosphere for much of the year, with rainy periods and sunny, hot spells. This is general advice rather than a weather forecast: heat and humidity can make compression garments feel uncomfortable, and swelling can feel more noticeable on very warm days. Light, breathable clothing worn over the garment, rest in the shade and plenty of fluids make the first weeks easier.
After the operation, compression garments stay on for 4–6 weeks, and the recovery programme describes 1–1.5 months of compression garments after the correction. In a warm city, ask the surgeon how to keep the skin clean and dry under the garment, how often you may change it, and which fabrics to choose for the days when the air is damp.
Sun exposure also deserves attention. Scars are reddish early on and fade over 6–12 months until they are almost unnoticeable. During that time, protect the chest from strong sun with clothing, and ask your surgeon when and how to use sun protection once the wounds have closed. Sunbathing on the shore or at an open-air event is better postponed until your surgeon agrees.
Water is part of life in Jinja. The Nile begins here, the lake is close, and many people enjoy time by the water at weekends. After breast augmentation, though, the timing is clear: pool and sea are allowed after 4–6 weeks, and fitness and swimming also after 4–6 weeks. Timing depends on your recovery, so wait for your surgeon's approval at the check-up.
Open water brings its own questions. Ask the surgeon how to judge when the wounds are fully healed, since lake and river water are not the same as a clean pool. Your surgeon can advise whether to start in a pool first, and how to avoid sun and strain on the chest when you return to the shore.
If a family outing on the water falls in the first weeks, you can still join the day on land. Sit in the shade, wear your compression garment as instructed, and avoid lifting children or bags. Planning these small details in advance helps you avoid frustration.
Pain control and comfort come first. General anaesthesia is used for the surgery itself, so there is no sensation. In the first 1–3 days you may feel moderate discomfort, which painkillers relieve. Pain subsides significantly by day 5–7, and discomfort is gone by weeks 2–3. If pain becomes severe, inform your doctor right away.
Light walks are possible after 1–2 weeks, which suits a city where many people walk to work or to the market. Remember that there is no lifting of arms above shoulder height for 3 weeks, and no heavy exertion, meaning lifting more than 3 kg. This affects hanging washing, reaching shelves, carrying children and handling goods at work.
Sport follows a gradual path. For as long as 40 days, stay away from intense gym workouts and overly active aerobics; light cardio is possible after a month. Strength training is allowed after 3 months. Football is a big part of Jinja's sporting life, with two major teams, Bul FC and Gaddafi FC, in the Ugandan Super League. If you play with friends or coach, a return to contact or running games should be discussed with your surgeon first. Watching a match as a spectator, without crowds pressing against you, is easier than playing.
Students and young professionals often ask about timetables. Returning to a desk after 7–14 days is possible if you feel well, but you may tire faster than expected. Discuss with the surgeon how to arrange rest, and tell your employer or school only what you wish to share.
Food is part of social life in Jinja, with shared meals at family gatherings, markets rich in fresh produce and gatherings after church or work. Recovery does not require a strict diet, but the guidance says to monitor your diet and meals. Balanced, regular eating supports healing and helps keep your weight stable.
Weight matters for the long-term outcome. Results after mammoplasty last a long while: about 10–15 years for augmentation, until implant replacement. Weight changes, pregnancy, skin aging and gravity affect their duration. To maintain the result, choose supportive underwear and control your weight. General information on overweight is published by the World Health Organization, and it is a useful reminder that steady habits help any surgical result.
If a wedding, baptism or large family celebration is coming, schedule the operation so that you have enough time before it. Swelling after surgery goes away after 3 weeks, but the tissue continues to settle. In 3 months any inflammatory changes in the tissue disappear, and a pocket forms around the implant. A dress you plan to wear at a major event should be chosen with this gradual change in mind.
There is no single ideal month. Choose a period when your work is calmer, when you have help at home and when you have no major events that require heavy lifting or long standing. In Jinja, many people plan around school terms, harvest and production periods, or holidays; use the same logic for your recovery.
Think about the first three weeks as a protected time. Swelling goes away after 3 weeks, the arm restriction lasts 3 weeks, and compression garments continue for 4–6 weeks. Discomfort fades after 3 months. If you know your calendar is busy in a particular period, move the date rather than rush back to your usual pace.
If you have given birth recently, wait. Mammoplasty after a C-section is possible, but only once your body has fully recovered. Allow at least 6–12 months after giving birth and after breastfeeding stops. A consultation and check-up with a surgeon are required before surgery.
You start by messaging the coordinators on WhatsApp or Telegram. They collect your questions, your general health information and photos if requested, and they arrange a free online consultation with a surgeon. Since the service works around the clock, you can choose a time that fits a lunch break, an evening at home or a quiet weekend.
After surgery you get a recovery programme. Check-ups at 7 days, 3 and 6 months help track your recovery. For a year after surgery, consultations with your surgeon are free, and follow-up support lasts 12 months. There is also 24/7 monitoring by medical staff. Plan these check-ups in your calendar so that you do not miss them when work becomes busy.
The typical stay is short: General anaesthesia, 1 day, or in some cases 1–2 days. Ask the coordinator exactly how the schedule will work for you, and what you should prepare at home before you go, including comfortable front-opening clothing, supportive underwear and help with household tasks.
The name Jinja comes from 'ejjinja', the word for 'stones' in both the Baganda language on the western side of the Nile and the Busoga language on the eastern side. It referred to the flat rocks at the Ripon Falls, which disappeared under water in 1954 when the Owen Falls Dam was built. The town itself was founded in 1901 and was planned in 1948 by the German architect Ernst May, who used what he called 'neighbourhood units'.
It is a useful image for a woman thinking about breast augmentation. The rocks did not vanish; the water simply rose over them and the place settled into a new shape. Your body does something similar after surgery: swelling goes away after 3 weeks, and in 3 months any inflammatory changes in the tissue disappear and a pocket forms around the implant. Do not judge the shape in the first days. Wait for the settling to finish and use the check-ups at 7 days, 3 and 6 months to review it with your surgeon.
Many Jinja families have lived in the city for generations and speak Lusoga at home. If you prefer to discuss intimate questions in the language you are most at ease with, tell the coordinator at the start of the free online consultation, so that the conversation is comfortable and nothing is lost in translation.
Jinja is organised into two divisions, Jinja North and Jinja South. The southern division includes wards such as Walukuba East and West, Masese, Mpumudde, Nalufenya, Lubaga, Kimaka and Old Boma, while the northern division includes Mafubira, Wanyange, Buwagi and Budhumbuli. Some residents live close to the central business district, others in outer wards where daily errands mean longer walks or crowded shared transport.
This shapes your recovery plan. If you live in an outer ward and normally carry bags on a busy trip to town, arrange for a relative or neighbour to do the shopping during the first weeks. Remember the limits: no heavy exertion, meaning lifting more than 3 kg, and no lifting arms above shoulder height for 3 weeks. Light walks are possible after 1–2 weeks, so a short stroll near home is a good first outing.
The city also grew in 2020 to include Bugembe, Mafubira and Budondo, so many households now sit at different distances from the centre. Ask your coordinator how to keep contact by phone, since a coordinator will call you back 24/7, and you can report a worry without having to go anywhere.
Kakira Sugar Works employs over 7,500 people, and Jinja also has a steel plant, a palm oil refinery and Nile Breweries at Njeru. If you work on a shift pattern in any large workplace, ask your surgeon how to present the need for sick leave. Return to work with no physical exertion is possible after 7–14 days, but a production floor, a loading bay or a cane field is a different matter from a desk.
Jinja is also a city of students and officers. It hosts the Eastern Campus of Makerere University and campuses of Makerere University Business School, Busoga University and Kampala University, along with several well-known secondary schools such as Busoga College, Jinja College and Wanyange Girls. Military colleges are based in the Kimaka area. A student can plan the operation around an exam-free period, and a teacher can think about long standing at the board and raising arms to write high on it, which is limited for 3 weeks.
Women in uniformed or training roles should ask specifically about drills and physical tests. Intense gym workouts and overly active aerobics are off the list for as long as 40 days, and strength training is allowed after 3 months, so discuss the timing with your surgeon before agreeing a date.
A new fresh produce market was completed in 2014 and can hold up to 4,500 vendors. For many families it is the centre of the week's shopping, and it is also where heavy baskets, sacks and crates are carried. In the early weeks of recovery, ask someone else to do the carrying, or order lighter loads, because lifting more than 3 kg is not allowed.
Sundays in Jinja often revolve around churches, with Catholic, Anglican, Presbyterian, Baptist and Assemblies of God congregations, as well as mosques for Muslim families. Gatherings after services usually include shared meals. You can attend with a loose, front-opening top over your compression garment, sit comfortably and avoid hugging crowds, or hold the first outing until you feel steady. The guidance asks you to monitor your diet and meals, so choose balanced portions rather than heavy, rich food while you are still resting.
Fresh fruit, vegetables and plenty of water from the market support everyday recovery. Weight changes affect the long life of the result, so use this period to build habits you can keep.
Jinja is known for white-water rafting, bungee jumping and the place where the Nile begins. The Nyege Nyege Festival has been held since 2015 at Discovery Beach in Njeru, around 20 minutes from the central business district. These are active, crowded and sometimes sunny occasions, and they do not suit the first weeks after breast augmentation.
Rafting and bungee involve sudden jolts, strong arm movement and water. Pool and sea are allowed after 4–6 weeks, strength training after 3 months, and your surgeon should confirm the specific timing for any extreme sport. A festival with dancing crowds, heat and pushing is easier to enjoy once the compression garment is no longer needed and discomfort has faded, which happens after 3 months.
If you have a ticket or a group outing planned, do not let it drive the date of your operation. Move the surgery earlier or later instead, and tell the coordinator about the event so that your plan leaves a calm margin.
Breast augmentation suits adult women who are in generally good health, who have realistic expectations and who want a change in size or shape. It is not suitable when your health is unstable, when you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or when you have untreated conditions that raise surgical risk. Only a surgeon can decide after reviewing your history, so be honest about medications, previous operations and chronic illnesses.
Prepare a list of questions. Ask how the implant size will be chosen, where the incisions will go, how long you will wear compression garments, what to do if swelling is uneven, and what changes to expect in sensitivity. Ask how to reach someone at night if you worry about a symptom, and how the check-ups will be arranged.
Scars are a common worry. There are scars after mammoplasty, though a skilled surgeon keeps them minimal. The incisions go in discreet areas, such as under the breast, around the areola or in the armpit. Early on they are reddish, but over 6–12 months they fade and are almost unnoticeable.
Yes. The consultation is free and online. You contact the coordinators on WhatsApp or Telegram, and they are available 24/7. A coordinator will call you back 24/7.
You may go back to work, with no physical exertion, after 7–14 days. If your job involves lifting or heavy arm movements, discuss adjusted duties with your surgeon beforehand.
General anaesthesia is used, so there is no sensation during surgery. The stay is 1 day, or 1–2 days depending on your case.
In the first 1–3 days you may feel moderate discomfort, which painkillers relieve. Pain subsides significantly by day 5–7 and discomfort is gone by weeks 2–3. If pain becomes severe, inform your doctor right away.
Pool and sea are allowed after 4–6 weeks, and fitness and swimming also after 4–6 weeks. Ask your surgeon to confirm that the wounds have healed before you enter open water.
For as long as 40 days, avoid intense gym workouts and overly active aerobics. Light cardio is possible after a month, and strength training is allowed after 3 months. Timing depends on your recovery.
Compression garments stay on for 4–6 weeks, and the recovery programme describes 1–1.5 months of compression garments after the correction.
Results after augmentation last about 10–15 years, until implant replacement. Weight changes, pregnancy, skin aging and gravity affect their duration. Supportive underwear and weight control help maintain the result.
In the first weeks, slight asymmetry is normal because of swelling and uneven healing. If shape or size still differ after 3–6 months, see your surgeon for a check-up to find the reason.
Breast and nipple sensitivity may change for a time, going down or up, because of irritation of nerve endings. In the majority of cases it is restored within 3–12 months. If nothing has improved after a year, consult your surgeon.
The name comes from 'ejjinja', meaning 'stones' in both the Baganda and Busoga languages, after the flat rocks at the Ripon Falls on the Nile, which went under water after the Owen Falls Dam was built in 1954.
You may go back to work, with no physical exertion, after 7–14 days. If your duties involve lifting, tell your surgeon in advance, since lifting more than 3 kg is not allowed and arms should not rise above shoulder height for 3 weeks.
Light walks are possible after 1–2 weeks. Ask someone to carry the shopping, wear your compression garment as instructed, and avoid crowds that could press against your chest.
Not in the early weeks. Pool and sea are allowed after 4–6 weeks, intense workouts are off for as long as 40 days, and strength training is allowed after 3 months. Ask your surgeon to confirm the date for any extreme activity.
