What is liposuction
and who is it for?

Liposuction is a surgical way to remove surplus subcutaneous fat from troublesome areas. It is not meant for weight loss or as an alternative to diet and exercise. Instead, it sculpts specific zones: thigh saddlebags, a sagging belly and fat deposits on the back, flanks, arms or chin.

Good candidates have a normal weight and an active lifestyle, yet certain zones keep their fat. The essential point is that fat cells removed from treated areas never grow back — keep your lifestyle steady and the result lasts long.

Liposuction techniques at City Medical Centre

Tumescent (classic) liposuction

First, a special saline-based solution with lidocaine, adrenaline and several other agents is injected into the area. It loosens fat tissue and constricts the vessels, keeping blood loss to a minimum and allowing gentle removal. The fat emulsion is then suctioned out through a thin cannula.

After the operation swelling and bruising are minimal, and recovery is far easier than after a standard procedure.

VASER liposuction (ultrasound)

First ultrasound breaks down the fat cells, then they are removed by vacuum. The method is ideal for pronounced muscle relief, such as athletic abs, and body contouring.

It also suits delicate areas.

How the surgery goes: from consultation to result

Surgeon consultation

The doctor takes note of your wishes, examines you, evaluates the fat deposits and excludes contraindications. At City Medical Centre we also order hormonal screening to help predict the long-term result.

Pre-operative tests

Tests include blood work (complete count, coagulation panel, biochemistry, infections: HIV, hepatitis, syphilis), ECG and chest X-ray, with a GP consultation if needed.

All tests can be done at the clinic with no waiting.

Preparation

2 weeks before: stop medications that affect blood clotting. A week before: no alcohol and no smoking, so you heal faster. 8 hours before: your final meal.

Surgery day

The surgeon meets you, marks the areas and fits the compression garments. Local or general anesthesia is used depending on the scope.
Duration: from 1 hour (small areas) to 3–4 hours (combined procedure).

Waking up and monitoring

Patients under general anesthesia stay one day in hospital for observation, while those under local anesthesia leave 3–4 hours after surgery.

Recovery

Plan on 30–45 days of compression garments. Initial results show at 3–4 weeks as swelling subsides; at 3 months the skin has fully tightened and the final result is assessed.

Recovery after liposuction

Tumescent liposuction means a much shorter recovery than a conventional procedure. Within 3–7 days most patients are working again. In week one there may be mild swelling and a raised temperature, which is a normal reaction to surgery. Compression garments are needed for 30–45 days: they fix the new contours and help tissues recover faster. Bathhouse, sauna, pool and intense sport are not allowed for the first month. Lymphatic drainage massage, pressotherapy and a gradual return to activity are recommended for the best result and faster recovery. First changes show in 3–4 weeks, the final result at 3 months.

Liposuction: frequently asked questions

Liposuction in Jaipur: from consultation to result

Liposuction is minimally invasive: fat is removed through micro-incisions of just a few millimetres that usually need no stitches and become barely visible once healed. Before surgery the surgeon assesses skin tone and elasticity, because firm skin tightens on its own along the new contours. If you are considering liposuction in Jaipur with stretch marks or reduced tone, preparatory treatments may be recommended.

Is it painful? No: the procedure is done under anaesthesia, local or general depending on scope. Afterwards mild discomfort is possible and is relieved with painkillers prescribed by the doctor. Most patients return to their usual routine in 7–10 days, while swelling and bruising resolve by weeks 4–5. That is the typical course for people in Jaipur after liposuction.

The cost is built around your zones: from $1,200 for the most compact area, rising for larger combinations such as the torso or the abdomen with flanks. Nothing is added later, because the contract fixes the price. Jaipur residents can split payment into interest-free instalments and begin with a free surgeon consultation, booked through the form on the page.
