What is liposuction
and who is it for?

Liposuction surgically removes excess fat under the skin from problem areas. It is neither a weight-loss method nor a replacement for diet and exercise. The aim is targeted contouring: getting rid of saddlebags on the thighs, a sagging belly and fat deposits on the back, flanks, arms or chin.

If certain areas hold fat while your weight is normal and your lifestyle active, liposuction is for you. Fat cells removed from treated areas do not come back, which means that with a stable lifestyle the result lasts a long time.

Liposuction techniques at City Medical Centre

Tumescent (classic) liposuction

First the treatment area receives a special saline-based solution with lidocaine, adrenaline and several other agents. The fat tissue loosens and the vessels constrict, so blood loss is minimal and removal gentle. The fat emulsion is then drawn out by vacuum via a thin cannula.

Almost no swelling or bruising follows the surgery, and recovery is much lighter than after a conventional procedure.

VASER liposuction (ultrasound)

Before vacuum removal, fat cells are broken down by ultrasound. The method is ideal for defining pronounced muscle relief — athletic abs — and body contouring.

It also suits delicate areas.

How the surgery goes: from consultation to result

Surgeon consultation

The doctor hears your wishes, examines and assesses the fat deposits and rules out contraindications. At City Medical Centre a hormonal screening is also ordered, which helps predict the long-term result.

Pre-operative tests

Complete blood count, coagulation panel, biochemistry and infection tests (HIV, hepatitis, syphilis), an ECG, chest X-ray and, if needed, a consultation with a GP.

All tests can be done at the clinic with no waiting.

Preparation

2 weeks ahead: no medications that affect blood clotting. A week ahead: no alcohol or smoking, for quicker healing. 8 hours ahead: the last meal.

Surgery day

On the day you meet the surgeon, the areas are marked and compression garments fitted. Anesthesia — local or general, depending on the scope.
Time on the table: from 1 hour (small areas) to 3–4 hours (combined procedure).

Waking up and monitoring

With local anesthesia you are discharged 3–4 hours after surgery; with general anesthesia you stay one day in hospital under observation.

Recovery

Compression garments for 30–45 days. First results in 3–4 weeks, once swelling subsides. The final result is assessed at 3 months, when the skin has fully tightened.

Recovery after liposuction

Tumescent liposuction means a much shorter recovery than a conventional procedure. Within 3–7 days most patients are working again. In week one there may be mild swelling and a raised temperature, which is a normal reaction to surgery. Compression garments are needed for 30–45 days: they fix the new contours and help tissues recover faster. Bathhouse, sauna, pool and intense sport are not allowed for the first month. Lymphatic drainage massage, pressotherapy and a gradual return to activity are recommended for the best result and faster recovery. First changes show in 3–4 weeks, the final result at 3 months.

Liposuction: frequently asked questions

Liposuction in Aurangabad: techniques, stages and price

Two techniques are used. In tumescent liposuction a saline-based solution with lidocaine and adrenaline is injected first; it loosens fat and constricts vessels, so blood loss is minimal and there is almost no bruising. In VASER liposuction ultrasound breaks down fat cells before vacuum removal, which suits athletic abs and delicate zones. The surgeon picks the method for each patient in Aurangabad.

It starts with a surgeon consultation: the doctor listens to your wishes, assesses the fat deposits and rules out contraindications, and a hormonal screening is ordered to predict the long-term result. Patients from Aurangabad then take pre-operative tests — blood count, coagulation panel, biochemistry, infection screening, ECG and chest X-ray — which can all be done at the clinic with no waiting.

Budget matters, so the price is agreed upfront and written into an official contract with a guarantee. Liposuction starts from $1,200, and interest-free instalments make planning easier. The clinic has 400+ successful surgeries and 10 years of liposuction experience behind it. To begin, anyone from Aurangabad simply leaves a phone number and waits for the coordinator's call.
