The process
A personal correction plan, inpatient observation and a year of recovery monitoring.
1Your figure is assessed, your wishes discussed, and the surgeon chooses the best volume, shape and correction method.
2We hold a surgery date for you. You can pay the deposit by card at the clinic or online by bank transfer; all terms are set out in the contract for medical services
3Ahead of surgery you go through full testing — blood tests, an ECG and other examinations as prescribed by the doctor.
4The surgeon performs mammoplasty according to your individual plan. The operation takes place under general anesthesia with continuous patient monitoring.
5After surgery you stay in the clinic's comfortable inpatient ward under the care of the medical team until discharge.
6You get a personal recovery programme after the operation. Follow-up visits at 7 days, 3 and 6 months monitor healing; for a year, surgeon consultations are free of charge.

Prior to surgery, cease taking aspirin-containing medicines, steroids and hormonal drugs for chronic illness
At least one month before the procedure, oral hormonal contraceptives should be stopped
Have your tests done a week before surgery
In the run-up to surgery, follow simple advice: keep work and rest in healthy balance, sleep more, avoid stress, anxiety and emotional strain, and ease off physical activity.
For up to 40 days, avoid hard gym workouts and very active aerobics; after a month you may do light cardio. Keep an eye on your diet and meals.
Post-op swelling disappears after 3 weeks
Discomfort disappears after 3 months
Scars develop within 3 weeks
Avoid exertion (lifting over 3 kg)
In 3 months any inflammatory changes in the tissue disappear, and a “pocket” forms around the implant
After the correction, recovery involves 1–1.5 months of compression garments
No lifting arms above shoulder height — 3 weeks
Skip baths and saunas for up to three months and avoid physiotherapy

FAQ
Mammoplasty brings together several procedures: augmentation (implants to add volume), reduction (removal of surplus tissue and skin), mastopexy (lift for sagging breasts), reconstruction (after mastectomy) and asymmetry correction. The most suitable method is selected individually, guided by your wishes and the surgeon's advice.
Message us — our coordinator will get back to you shortly and book your consultation. The plastic surgeon consultation is free.
When all recommendations are followed, complications are rare. They can include hematoma or seroma, wound infection, reduced or heightened nipple sensitivity, capsular contracture, aesthetic asymmetry, wound separation and tissue necrosis.
Mammoplasty gives a lasting result: around 10–15 years after augmentation (up to implant replacement) and 5–10 years after a lift or reduction. How long it holds depends on weight, pregnancy, skin aging and gravity. To keep the result, wear supportive underwear and keep your weight under control.
After mammoplasty, breastfeeding depends on the type of surgery. If augmentation uses an under-breast or armpit incision and the implant goes under the muscle, lactation is typically preserved because glandular tissue is not damaged. A lift or reduction has a higher risk since ducts may be cut. Discuss it with your surgeon before surgery.
When choosing implants, the factors are material (silicone looks most natural, saline is used less often), shape (round or anatomical teardrop), surface (smooth or textured), size and profile. The surgeon will find the best option for your anatomy and preferences.
Under general anesthesia the patient feels nothing during the operation. Some moderate discomfort can appear in the first 1–3 days and is controlled with painkillers. By day 5–7 pain lessens markedly, and discomfort ends by weeks 2–3. Tell your doctor right away if the pain is severe.
Most patients return to work (without physical exertion) after 7–14 days. Light walks are fine after 1–2 weeks. Fitness and swimming come after 4–6 weeks, strength training after 3 months, pool and sea after 4–6 weeks. Compression garments are worn for 4–6 weeks. Exact timing depends on your recovery.
Science has found no evidence that mammoplasty increases the risk of breast cancer. Implants are not a cause of cancer. After the procedure, go on with regular screening, including self-exams, mammography and ultrasound, and always tell the examining doctor about the implants.
Mammoplasty after a C-section is possible, but your body must fully recover first. Wait at least 6–12 months after giving birth and after breastfeeding ends. A surgeon's consultation and check-up are required before surgery.
Scars after mammoplasty are unavoidable, but with a skilled surgeon they stay minimal. Incisions are made in hidden places, namely under the breast, around the areola or in the armpit. Scars look reddish during the first months, but within 6–12 months they fade to almost invisible.
A little asymmetry in the early weeks after the operation is normal, due to swelling and uneven healing. If the shape or size still differs after 3–6 months, have your surgeon examine you to determine the cause.
Nipple and breast sensitivity can change temporarily after mammoplasty, either decreasing or increasing. It happens because nerve endings are irritated. Sensitivity usually returns within 3–12 months. If there is still no improvement after a year, consult your surgeon.
There is no direct effect of hormonal drugs (contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy) on implants, but swelling or changes in breast tissue volume may occur and temporarily affect appearance. Let your surgeon know about these medications before surgery.

Enlargement with implants corrects both size and shape. It is aimed at patients who feel their breasts are too small, have lost volume or look asymmetrical. People searching for this surgery in Zawiya should know that results typically last about 10 to 15 years, until the implants are replaced; weight, pregnancy, skin aging and gravity all influence how long they hold.
After the operation, check-ups are scheduled at 7 days, 3 months and 6 months. At each one the surgeon evaluates the result, monitors healing and answers questions. You can usually return to office work in 7–14 days, walk after 1–2 weeks and resume fitness in 4–6 weeks, with strength training after three months. The same schedule applies to Zawiya patients.
The fixed price starts at $4,700 (≈ LYD 30,500), and everything essential is already in it: anesthesia, the hospital stay and a year of follow-up by your plastic surgeon. A breast lift with implants is $5,400 (≈ LYD 35,000), implant removal $3,300 (≈ LYD 21,500). Zawiya residents can book the first consultation free of charge and ask about in-house instalments.

I went to Dmitry Sergeyevich for breast augmentation with implants. At the consultation everything was explained in detail, and together we chose the best size. The operation under combined anaesthesia took 2 hours, and I was discharged home the next day. The swelling went down in about a month, and my breasts look very natural. The year of follow-up care is a real lifesaver: you can always ask a question and get an answer. Thank you to the clinic!

Breast augmentation from a size 3 to a size 4 with Dmitry Sergeyevich. He chose perfect anatomical implants. The operation took 2 hours, and I woke up with almost no pain. In the ward I was fed and monitored around the clock. Four months have passed and the result looks like a magazine cover.

Most women in Zawiya who ask about breast augmentation want to know one thing first: when does ordinary life come back? The answer comes in layers. Between seven and fourteen days you can go back to work, as long as it involves no physical exertion. Three weeks in, the post-operative swelling disappears and the scars form, though you still may not lift anything over three kilograms or raise your arms above shoulder height. Ask your coordinator for these milestones in writing and pin them where the household can read them.
At one month the swelling has settled and the breasts take on a natural shape and softness. Between four and six weeks you may return to fitness, swimming, the pool and the sea, and it is during these same four to six weeks that you wear the compression garment. Many women are surprised that the two ranges overlap, and the surgeon will tell you which comes first for you. Do not reason backwards from a friend's schedule, because her operation, skin and habits are not yours.
The third month is the one people forget. Discomfort fades, inflammatory changes resolve, and a pocket forms around the implant, which is when strength training can begin. Until then the breasts are still adjusting, and the way they look in week three is not the way they will look at month three. Photograph yourself in the same light on the same day each week, send the pictures to the coordinators, and judge the change by comparison rather than by the bathroom mirror.
Zawiya has a university of thirty-two faculties, founded in 1988, and many of the women who write to us are lecturers, students, clerks and teachers whose weeks are planned to the hour. If that describes you, place the operation where seven to fourteen days of lighter duties can be arranged without a scramble. Talk to your department or employer early, with a medical note in hand if needed, rather than apologising on the very morning that you cannot stand at the board.
A size is not a number but a relationship between the width of the chest, the shape of the body and the tissue available. Describe what you want in words and with a few calm reference pictures, and send your own photographs: front, side and three-quarter views in daylight, standing naturally with relaxed shoulders. Add your age, your weight and whether it has changed, pregnancies and breastfeeding, earlier operations, medicines and allergies. With that file in hand, the first reply is a reading of your body and not a leaflet.
Ask the question that saves disappointment: what can surgery do in my case, and what can it not do? A serious reply names limits. Asymmetry that exists today may not vanish entirely, a wide gap between the breasts may not close completely, and a very small change may not be worth the operation at all. Women who ask this early rarely feel misled later. The coordinators on Telegram and Telegram handle such questions at any hour, so there is no reason to guess in the dark.
The surgery takes place under general anaesthesia, with an anaesthesiologist at your side throughout. Prepare for it in the plainest way: write down your medicines and their doses, note the last time you ate and drank, and bring a short list of questions on a sheet of paper. Anxiety shrinks a good memory, and a paper list is kinder than trusting yourself at six in the morning. The coordinator can explain which tests come first and who reviews them.
Do not let a neighbour's story set the plan. A woman who tells you that her friend was back at the gym in a week is describing something that your surgeon would not recommend. Take the timeline of your own case, and compare offers only after you hold the same information from each source. In a city of about 198,000 people, according to the 2008 figures, gossip moves fast, and a written plan is the only reliable thing to put against it.
After the operation you stay in hospital for one day under observation, and then you go home. Pack for that day as if it were a short, calm stay: a loose dress or shirt that opens at the front so that you never have to lift your arms to take it off, a light shawl, your phone and charger, and the written instructions. The first night is the one for which a helper matters most, so arrange now who will sleep in the house and who will answer the door.
Back at home, arrange the rooms so that nothing you need is above your shoulders. Put plates, cups, towels and the children's things at waist height before the day of the operation, because for three weeks the hanging line, the high shelves and the top cupboard belong to somebody else. Rehearse the movements: the way to leave the bed without pushing on your arms, how to turn at night, and where the pillows go. A rehearsal in daylight beats a fumble at two in the morning.
Libya's weekend is Friday and Saturday, and families gather on those days with the kind of cheerful pressure that can wear out a recovering woman. Agree with your family that visits in the first fortnight will be short, that one person answers the phone, and that you may be excused from serving anyone. A calm sentence, such as saying you are resting after a medical procedure, is quite enough. Courtesy to your guests should not cost you your recovery.
Keep the coordinators' number where you can reach it from bed. They answer around the clock, and they pass anything that needs a surgeon's view to the surgeon. Tell them early if one breast looks more swollen than the other, if a dressing feels wet, or if you have a temperature, and send a photograph taken in good light. A small question asked at once is better than a large problem found at the check-up.
The compression garment has to be lived with for four to six weeks, and in Zawiya the weather decides how pleasant that is. In August the average high is 33.0 degrees Celsius and the low 20.8; in July it is 32.3 and 19.9, with no rain in either month. Wear soft cotton beneath the garment, keep a second one for changing, stay in shade, and report redness or itching to the team instead of treating it with a cream you found yourself.
Winter is the easier season for this stage. January averages 17.3 by day and 6.7 at night, February 18.8 and 7.7, and the annual rainfall is 252 millimetres, with 61 in December and 53 in January. A loose coat that opens at the front covers the garment without pressing on the chest, and an umbrella with a short handle avoids raising an arm. If your date falls in the cool months, you gain a recovery without heat rash and without the pull of the beach.
The Judaim beach and its forest are what many people in Zawiya think of when they imagine summer. Swimming in the sea or pool is allowed from four to six weeks, and that is also when the garment period ends, so ask the surgeon for a date for your own case before you promise your children a day by the water. Salt, sand and strong sun on healing scars are not a gamble worth taking, and a few more days of patience cost you almost nothing.
Zawiya's Olympic club dates from 1947 and the Olympic stadium is the city's central sports ground, so many women here exercise regularly and fear losing their routine. Walk freely, begin gentle leg and core work when the team agrees, and keep chest strength training for the three-month point when the pocket has formed. Returning too early is a slower route back to your old fitness, not a faster one. Let the schedule you were given be your coach.
When talk of a good result spreads through a city, offers multiply, and the only fair way to compare them is on paper. Ask each source for the surgeon's full name and exact specialty in plastic surgery, the type of anaesthesia, how long you stay in hospital, which check-ups are included, and how a complication would be handled. Two offers that do not list the same items cannot be compared, however attractive the wording. Request the same list from both and hold them side by side.
The name Zawiya comes from the Quran schools that once stood in the town, which places learning and questioning near the root of its identity. Use that inheritance. Ask which implant will be used, how it is placed, why this size and this shape suit you, and what will be done if you are unhappy with the outcome. A good surgeon welcomes these questions. If a source resents them, you have learned something useful before signing.
Check the surgeon through the Libyan health authority that registers doctors. If you cannot find a clear route, ask the coordinator to provide proof of name, specialty and licence before you commit. Treat stories of operations done without tests or without an anaesthesiologist as reasons to close the door rather than as bargains. The body can forgive many things, but not that, and there is no refund on an operation badly done.
Be careful with promises that speak to fantasy: a result that never changes, a shape copied from a magazine, a recovery in days. Surgery alters the breasts, not the passing of time, and weight, pregnancy and age will continue to act on them. Ask the coordinator what you may honestly expect over the coming years, think it over at home with someone you trust, and decide only when the answers are complete and in writing.
Send front, side and three-quarter photographs in daylight, standing naturally, plus a few lines about your age, weight changes, pregnancies, breastfeeding, earlier surgery, medicines and allergies. The coordinators on Telegram and Telegram receive it at any hour and reply with a provisional reading and a list of anything missing.
The anaesthesiologist uses general anaesthesia, and after the operation you stay in hospital for one day. Ask the coordinator beforehand which tests are needed, when you must stop eating and drinking, and which regular medicines you should mention. Pack a loose top that opens at the front for the ride home.
You can return to work, without physical exertion, after seven to fourteen days. Desk work is the easiest. If your job involves lifting or reaching, ask the surgeon through the coordinator. For the first three weeks do not lift more than three kilograms or raise your arms above shoulder level.
The post-operative swelling disappears in about three weeks while the scars form. At one month the breasts take on a natural shape and softness, and by three months the discomfort has faded, inflammatory changes have resolved and a pocket has formed around the implant. A weekly photograph in the same light shows this progress best.
Fitness, swimming, the pool and the sea come back after four to six weeks, which is also how long the compression garment is worn. Strength training waits for about three months. Ask the surgeon through the coordinator before the first swim, especially in summer when the sun is strong.
Wear soft cotton underneath, keep a spare garment to change into, stay in shade and report any redness or itching. August has an average high of 33.0 degrees Celsius and no rain, so plan your days around the cooler hours. Never shorten the wearing period on your own.
Ask in writing for his full name, exact specialty and licence, and verify them with the Libyan health authority that registers doctors. If the route is unclear, ask the coordinator for the documents themselves before booking, and treat an offer that avoids naming the surgeon as incomplete.
No honest source promises that, because weight, pregnancy and ageing keep changing breast tissue. What you can expect is a settled result once swelling has gone and the pocket has formed around the implant. Ask the coordinator what check-ups to plan over the coming years.
