What is regenerative
joint treatment?

In regenerative joint therapy, two materials from your own body are used — platelet-rich plasma (PRP), taken from blood, and the stromal vascular fraction (SVF), taken from a small adipose tissue sample. Once injected into the affected joint, they work to cut pain and inflammation and support the tissues there.

Joint pain and a wish to avoid or put off surgery, or a verdict that replacement is the only route — these are the typical reasons people come. An earlier stage of the condition means a better chance of lasting relief, and the doctor assesses it from your scans.

Joints we treat

From large joints to small ones: the doctor picks the joint, the technique and the injection count after studying your scans

Methods we use

Cell therapy (SVF) from your own adipose tissue

Processing a small sample of adipose tissue yields the stromal vascular fraction (SVF), a blend of cells that help tissue repair. The doctor combines it with your plasma and injects it into the problem joint.

Doctors tend to choose it when the joint shows more pronounced changes and a more durable effect is wanted.

PRP — platelet-rich plasma from your own blood

Plasma containing many platelets and growth factors is prepared from a small amount of your blood and injected into the joint, helping inflammation settle and creating better conditions for repair.

It can be given as its own course of injections or combined with SVF.

How the procedure goes: step by step

Consultation and scan review

At the consultation the joint is examined and your X-rays, MRI or ultrasound are reviewed to decide if the procedure suits you. You can send existing scans before you come.

Blood sample for PRP

Blood is drawn from a vein — only a small amount. Later, platelet-rich plasma with growth factors is made from it.

The doctor tells you in advance which tests are needed.

Adipose tissue sample

Under local anaesthetic the doctor takes roughly 30 ml of adipose tissue through a small puncture in the abdomen or inner thigh; stitches are not needed.

Processing in a centrifuge

The sample is centrifuged and divides into layers; the stromal vascular fraction is isolated from it and mixed with platelet-rich plasma.
The whole procedure is done in one day.

Injection into the joint

The material, once prepared, is injected directly into the affected joint; ultrasound guidance helps place it precisely.

Follow-up

No crutches and no hospital stay. The doctor stays in touch after the procedure and follows how the joint responds.

Follow-up visits

After 1 month
3 months
6 months

During follow-up visits the doctor checks the joint's response and adapts the plan: pain usually subsides in the first month, movement improves over about three months and the full effect develops over around six months.

After the procedure

You will most likely go home on the day of the procedure and be back to normal daily activity in a day or two, with small dressings over the puncture sites. The joint may ache a little more for the first week, which is an expected reaction. Over the first month pain usually eases, mobility and activity improve over about three months, and it takes around six months for the full effect to develop. How long the effect lasts depends on the individual — the stage of the condition, body weight, activity and other factors — so nobody can promise a fixed result. The doctor gives you personal advice on exercise and load in the first weeks.

Joint treatment: frequently asked questions

Choosing joint treatment without surgery in Jabalpur

Knee problems are the most familiar reason to seek help: cartilage wear, meniscus damage, pain on stairs and after walking. Patients from Jabalpur with hip, shoulder, ankle, elbow or wrist pain follow the same path — scan review, examination and a clear plan.

Over about three months mobility and activity usually improve, and the full effect develops over around six months. How long it lasts depends on the stage of the condition, body weight and activity, so no one can promise a fixed result to patients in Jabalpur.

A consultation is the first step for every patient from Jabalpur. It is free, and after it you know the method, the number of injections and the cost.
