No surgery — an injection instead of an operation

Own tissue — your blood and adipose tissue

Ultrasound guidance for every injection

Free consultation
and review of your scans
Your blood provides platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and a small sample of adipose tissue provides the stromal vascular fraction (SVF). In regenerative joint treatment this material goes into the affected joint by injection, helping to reduce pain and inflammation and to support the tissues inside it.
If you live with joint pain and hope to postpone or avoid surgery — or were told that replacement is the only option — this may be for you. How early the condition is matters for a lasting effect, and the doctor determines the stage from your scans.

We treat large and small joints — which joint, which method and how many injections is decided by the doctor after a scan review
Elbow
Pain from overuse or sports strain, worn joint surfaces
Hand and wrist joints
Small joints of the wrist and fingers that are stiff and sore
Knee
Meniscus trouble, worn cartilage, pain when using stairs or after walking
Hip
Early hip osteoarthritis, groin pain, limited rotation
Ankle
Pain and stiffness after sprains and old injuries
Shoulder
Wear of the joint and its tendons, pain when raising the arm

Cell therapy (SVF) from your own adipose tissue
A little of your adipose tissue is processed to isolate SVF — the stromal vascular fraction, which contains cells involved in repairing tissue. It is then combined with your own plasma and injected into the joint.
The usual reason to choose it: more pronounced changes in the joint and the goal of a longer-lasting effect.

PRP — platelet-rich plasma from your own blood
Platelet- and growth-factor-rich plasma is obtained from a little of your blood and injected into the joint, where it helps calm inflammation and improves the conditions for tissue repair.
A course of injections can be done with it alone, or it can be paired with SVF.

Consultation and scan review
Whether the procedure is for you is decided after the doctor examines the joint and reviews your X-rays, MRI or ultrasound. Any scans you already have can be sent before your visit.

Blood sample for PRP
A little blood is drawn from a vein; platelet-rich plasma with growth factors is prepared from it later.
The doctor tells you in advance which tests are needed.

Adipose tissue sample
The doctor numbs the area with local anaesthetic and takes about 30 ml of adipose tissue through a puncture on the abdomen or inner thigh. Stitches are not needed.

Processing in a centrifuge
Spinning the sample in a centrifuge separates it into layers, after which the stromal vascular fraction is isolated and added to the platelet-rich plasma.
The whole procedure is done in one day.

Injection into the joint
The doctor injects the prepared material directly into the affected joint, using ultrasound to place it precisely.

Follow-up
No stay in hospital and no crutches are needed. The doctor stays in touch after the procedure to see how the joint responds.

Follow-up visits
Follow-up visits let the doctor see how the joint responds and adjust the plan — pain usually eases over the first month, mobility improves over about three months, and the full effect develops over around six months.

You will most likely go home on the day of the procedure and be back to normal daily activity in a day or two, with small dressings over the puncture sites. The joint may ache a little more for the first week, which is an expected reaction. Over the first month pain usually eases, mobility and activity improve over about three months, and it takes around six months for the full effect to develop. How long the effect lasts depends on the individual — the stage of the condition, body weight, activity and other factors — so nobody can promise a fixed result. The doctor gives you personal advice on exercise and load in the first weeks.
We focus on preserving your own joint instead of replacing it, without surgery

Your own tissue
Only your own blood and adipose tissue — no donor or synthetic material is used

No crutches
Small punctures in place of incisions, local anaesthetic, no long recovery programme

Second opinion
A doctor gives a free, independent assessment of the X-rays, MRI or reports you send us

Support after the procedure
Contact continues after the procedure — we track the result, not just the injection itself

What is the difference between PRP and SVF?
SVF is a cell fraction isolated from a small sample of your adipose tissue, whereas PRP is platelet-rich plasma prepared from your blood. They work differently and are frequently combined for a stronger regenerative effect in the joint.
Is the treatment safe?
Your own tissue is used in both methods, which keeps the risk of rejection or an allergic reaction very low. Any injection may cause temporary pain, swelling or bruising; infection is rare. The doctor explains your individual risks at the consultation.
How long does the effect last?
There is no single answer. The effect of PRP often lasts several months to about a year, and SVF can last longer. Duration depends on your body and the stage of the condition, and no one can promise a fixed result.
Who should not have the procedure?
It is not done during pregnancy, in people with cancer, acute infections or blood clotting disorders, or while a serious chronic illness is flaring up. The consultation is where the doctor checks this.
Can osteoarthritis of the hip (coxarthrosis) be treated without surgery?
At early stages, pain can be reduced and movement improved with PRP or SVF injections combined with exercise therapy and physiotherapy. Should the joint already be badly damaged, a replacement may be more realistic — the doctor tells you honestly after looking at your scans.
Can avascular necrosis of the hip be treated?
SVF therapy may be an option at early stages (1–2) to support blood supply to the femoral head and postpone joint replacement. At later stages, surgery is usually needed.
Why try to avoid joint replacement?
With early or moderate changes, trying to keep your own joint first is often the sensible path — a replacement means major surgery, lengthy rehabilitation, risks such as infection and implants that might eventually be redone.
Can I get a second opinion on my scans?
Yes. After you send your X-rays, MRI, CT or medical reports, a doctor reviews them at no cost and tells you whether the procedure could be suitable and what else may be required.
How soon can I return to normal life?
Usually in a day or two. There are no crutches and no long rehabilitation; for the first weeks the doctor gives recommendations on load and exercise.
Does the treatment help with shoulder pain?
For shoulder joint and rotator cuff problems PRP is used, and for more advanced arthritis of the shoulder SVF may be considered. Suitability depends on the cause of your pain, and the doctor identifies that first.
Joint pain does not always mean surgery. In Amritsar, many people with early or moderate changes in the knee, hip or shoulder first try to preserve their own joint. SVF and PRP injections aim to reduce pain and inflammation and to slow further wear of the cartilage.
The procedure in Amritsar takes one day. Blood is taken from a vein for PRP, a small portion of adipose tissue is taken under local anaesthetic without stitches, the material is spun in a centrifuge, and the prepared mix is injected precisely into the affected joint.
The cost of joint treatment depends on the joint, the stage of the condition and the method, so the price is set at the consultation. The initial consultation and review of your scans are free for patients from Amritsar. Leave your name and phone number, and a coordinator will contact you.
