After the procedure
Usually you leave the same day and resume ordinary daily activity within a day or two, with small dressings over the puncture sites. The joint may ache slightly more during the first week — an expected reaction. Over the first month pain typically eases; over roughly three months mobility and activity improve; the full effect develops over about six months. Its duration is individual and depends on the stage of the condition, body weight, activity and other factors, so no fixed result can be promised. Joint treatment: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between PRP and SVF?
PRP means platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood; SVF means a cell fraction isolated from a small portion of your adipose tissue. Working in different ways, they are often combined for a stronger regenerative effect.
Is the treatment safe?
Both approaches use tissue from your own body, which makes rejection or an allergic reaction very unlikely. Temporary pain, swelling or bruising may occur, as after any injection, and infection is rare. The risks for your particular case are explained by the doctor at the consultation.
How long does the effect last?
It differs from person to person. After PRP the effect often lasts from several months to around a year, and after SVF it may last longer. How long depends on the stage of the condition and on your body, so nobody can promise a fixed result.
Who should not have the procedure?
