Cell therapy (SVF) and PRP for the knee, hip, shoulder and other joints. A free review of your scans before any decision

and review of your scans
Everything used in regenerative joint treatment comes from you: platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is made from your blood, and the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) from a little adipose tissue. The doctor injects it into the painful joint to lessen inflammation and pain and to support the joint's inner tissues.
People with joint pain choose it to avoid surgery or push it back, including those told a joint replacement is the only way. A lasting effect is more likely the earlier the condition is caught; the doctor evaluates this using your scans.

From large joints to small ones: the doctor picks the joint, the technique and the injection count after studying your scans
Elbow
Wear of the joint surfaces, pain after overuse or sports strain
Hand and wrist joints
Finger and wrist joints that feel stiff and painful
Knee
Worn cartilage and meniscus issues, with pain on stairs and after walking
Hip
Early hip osteoarthritis, groin pain, limited rotation
Ankle
Pain and stiffness after sprains and old injuries
Shoulder
Pain when you raise your arm, worn joint and surrounding tendons

Cell therapy (SVF) from your own adipose tissue
A small sample of your adipose tissue is processed to isolate the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) — a mix of cells involved in tissue repair. Combined with your own plasma, it is injected into the affected joint.
When the joint has more noticeable changes and you want the effect to last longer, this is the usual choice.

PRP — platelet-rich plasma from your own blood
Plasma rich in platelets and growth factors is separated from a small amount of your blood and injected into the joint. It helps calm inflammation and creates better conditions for tissue repair.
It is suitable as a separate injection course or in combination with SVF.

Consultation and scan review
Your joint is examined and the doctor studies your X-rays, MRI or ultrasound to judge whether the procedure is suitable. Existing scans can be sent before the appointment.

Blood sample for PRP
A small volume of blood is drawn from a vein, which is later turned into platelet-rich plasma with growth factors.
The doctor tells you in advance which tests are needed.

Adipose tissue sample
A puncture on the abdomen or inner thigh, made under local anaesthetic, is used to take a small portion of adipose tissue, about 30 ml. No stitches follow.

Processing in a centrifuge
The centrifuge separates the sample into layers, the stromal vascular fraction is isolated, and it is then mixed with platelet-rich plasma.
The whole procedure is done in one day.

Injection into the joint
The material, once prepared, is injected directly into the affected joint; ultrasound guidance helps place it precisely.

Follow-up
No hospital stay and no crutches. After the procedure the doctor keeps in touch and follows how your joint responds.

Follow-up visits
Follow-up visits allow the doctor to track the joint's response and fine-tune the plan. Pain tends to ease during the first month, movement improves over about three months, and the full effect builds over around six months.

Most people go home on the same day and are back to normal daily activity within a day or two; small dressings cover the puncture sites. In the first week the joint may ache a bit more, which is an expected reaction. Pain usually eases over the first month, mobility and activity improve over about three months, and the full effect develops over around six months. How long it lasts varies between people and depends on the stage of the condition, body weight, activity and other factors — nobody can promise a fixed result. Your doctor gives individual advice on exercise and load for the first weeks.
We try to preserve the joint you have rather than replace it, using treatment without surgery

Your own tissue
The material comes only from your own blood and adipose tissue, never from donors or synthetics

No crutches
Punctures rather than incisions, local anaesthetic and no lengthy rehabilitation

Second opinion
A doctor will independently assess your X-rays, MRI or reports free of charge once you send them

Support after the procedure
We stay in contact once the procedure is over and follow how the result develops
Pricing depends on the joint, the condition's stage and the method; you learn it from the doctor after the consultation

What is the difference between PRP and SVF?
SVF is a cell fraction isolated from a small sample of your adipose tissue, whereas PRP is platelet-rich plasma prepared from your blood. They work differently and are frequently combined for a stronger regenerative effect in the joint.
Is the treatment safe?
With both methods the tissue is your own, so the chance of rejection or an allergic reaction is very low. Any injection can bring temporary pain, swelling or bruising, and infection is rare. The doctor talks you through the risks in your case at the consultation.
How long does the effect last?
It is different for everyone: after PRP the effect frequently lasts from several months to roughly a year, and SVF can give a longer effect. The stage of the condition and your body decide the duration, so no fixed result can be promised.
Who should not have the procedure?
We do not perform the procedure in cases of cancer, acute infection, blood clotting disorders, pregnancy or a flare-up of a serious chronic illness. The doctor checks all of this at the consultation.
Is there a way to treat hip osteoarthritis (coxarthrosis) without surgery?
In early stages, a combination of PRP or SVF injections, exercise therapy and physiotherapy can reduce pain and improve movement. Where the joint is already badly damaged, replacement may be more realistic; the doctor will be honest with you once your scans are reviewed.
Can avascular necrosis of the hip be treated?
Early on (stages 1–2), the doctor may consider SVF therapy to support the femoral head's blood supply and delay joint replacement. In later stages surgery is generally required.
Why try to avoid joint replacement?
Joint replacement involves major surgery and a long rehabilitation, carries risks such as infection, and the implants may eventually have to be redone. With changes that are early or moderate, trying to preserve your own joint first often makes sense.
Can I get a second opinion on my scans?
Yes — just send whatever X-rays, MRI, CT or medical reports you have. The review by a doctor costs nothing, and you learn whether the procedure could suit you and what else is needed.
How soon can I return to normal life?
Usually within a day or two. There are no crutches and no long rehabilitation; the doctor gives you recommendations on load and exercise for the first weeks.
Does the treatment help with shoulder pain?
PRP is used for problems with the shoulder joint and rotator cuff, while SVF may be considered for more advanced shoulder arthritis. Whether it suits you depends on what causes the pain, which the doctor establishes first.
SVF and PRP work in different ways. PRP helps calm inflammation and creates better conditions for repair; SVF contains cells involved in tissue repair and is chosen when changes are more pronounced. For patients from Manhattan, the doctor often combines the two.
Before the procedure, the doctor tells you which tests are needed. If you already have X-rays, MRI or ultrasound results, patients from Manhattan can send them in advance and receive a preliminary answer on whether the treatment could suit them.
