Beard transplant

FUE, no incisions and no stitches

A surgeon marking the beard line before a transplant at City Medical Centre

The donor area is the back of the head; grafts move from there through micro-punctures of about 1 mm and no scars are left. The shape is decided together with the doctor before the operation, taking your facial features into account. Transplanted hair grows for life: the beard can be trimmed and styled as usual.

City Medical Centre doctors

That is fine. People living some distance away are seen all the time, and everything begins with a consultation held online.

FUE is $2,200 (≈ AOA 2,050,000), DHI is $2,500 (≈ AOA 2,350,000), combined DHI+FUE is $2,700 (≈ AOA 2,550,000). A free consultation with a graft count gives you the exact, contract-fixed price.

Reckon on a single day, ending with a return to your home.

No pain is felt, as the zone is numbed locally beforehand.

In FUE, grafts are harvested with a tweezer, no cuts or stitches involved. In DHI, a Choi pen implants grafts without opening channels first. The combined method pairs FUE harvesting with DHI implantation.

The doctor decides it on the basis of the donor area, and the consultation where this happens is free.

A healing stage of 0–10 days comes first, then a normal 2–4 week shed. Growth follows at 3–4 months, real thickness across 6–9 months, and the finished result at 12–18 months.

Your procedure includes a lifetime hair-growth guarantee under contract.

A hair transplant that fits an ordinary life in Mulenvos

Nothing heavy is involved for anyone in Mulenvos. FUE and DHI dispense with cuts and stitches altogether, local anaesthesia keeps the patient awake and comfortable, and the surgery closes on the same day it opens.

You can begin in Mulenvos without leaving home: the online consultation is free, and the doctor looks at photos of the thinning area and counts how many grafts it will take. The clinic is reachable 24/7, so a message fits your schedule.

First 0-10 days: healing. At 2-4 weeks the transplanted hairs are shed, and that is normal for this procedure. Growth starts at 3-4 months, which is the moment most patients have been waiting for.

Hair Transplant in Mulenvos: price and what is included

Patient reviews

What patients write after this operation. Reviews are translated from the original language.

Andrey M.

I had the operation a month ago. Before and after surgery they were always in touch and helped with questions about my tests. The operation itself went wonderfully, the staff are polite and masters of their craft, you feel you are in safe hands. I am recovering now, and they answer all my questions. I am happy and I recommend them!

DHI hair transplant

Pavel Sinitsyn

The best clinic of all the ones I was choosing from. No regrets at all! The result is simply amazing, I am thrilled. I recommend it to everyone: these people do great work and make people happy. Once again, a huge thank you to everyone. Roman, the head of the clinic, is the best: he was personally in touch with me and looked after my recovery. Thank you for making my dream come true.

FUE hair transplant

Maria Akopyan

I thought about an eyebrow transplant for a long time and finally went for it. At first I was afraid the result would look unnatural, but when I saw my new eyebrows I was delighted! They came out full and in harmony with my face. I can hardly believe that now I just wash my face and go, I have never felt so free. For anyone tired of constant make-up, a transplant is a real lifesaver!

Eyebrow transplant (FUE)

Alexander M.

I really wanted a thick beard, but I had problems with it. I tried every home remedy and minoxidil, and nothing helped. After a long search for the best clinic I settled on this one. Thank you so much for the service, I liked everything and now I am happy! I had the beard transplant 10 months ago and I am very pleased with the result. By the way, the music in the clinic was great, as far as I remember. A friend of mine has already come to you for a transplant on my advice and was also happy with the result. I wish you every success!

Beard transplant (FUE)

Vladimir Z.

I went to the clinic to see a trichologist and had a hair transplant. I really liked the doctor's approach, and all the recommendations helped. I want to point out that nobody tries to sell you extra services: they tell you things as they are, and if some treatment is not needed, they do not push it. Cosy and clean.

DHI hair transplant

Artem Popov

This may sound obvious, but a head of hair really changes everything in your life. You feel much more confident and go through life like a winner. And it is all thanks to the doctor at this clinic and to the staff who take care of their patients. Many thanks to the clinic for a happy life with new hair, for the comfortable conditions and for the professionalism during the hair transplant.

All patient reviews

Page medically reviewed by Anastasia A. Kolesnik, hair transplant doctor. Review date: .

Mulenvos: a young municipality in Luanda Province

Mulenvos is a city and municipality in Luanda Province, Angola. It was formed from the former zones of Capalanca and Estalagem, which belonged to the municipality of Viana. On 5 September 2024 it was raised to the status of a city and municipality of its own. The municipality consists of a single seat commune, and it takes its name from the Mulenvos River, also called the Rio Seco dos Mulenvos, which marks the whole northern limit of the municipality.

For a person planning a hair transplant (FUE / DHI), a new municipality inside a large metropolitan province means that daily life is closely tied to the rest of Luanda. Work, study and family obligations often lie in different parts of the province. That is worth keeping in mind when you choose the week of the operation and think through the first days of healing at home.

The centre does not have an office in Mulenvos. You contact us from your own city: the online consultation is free, and coordinators answer on Telegram and WhatsApp around the clock, 24/7. You can start with a few photos of your hair and a list of questions, in the evening or on a weekend.

Climate of Luanda Province and what it means for your hair after surgery

Angola has alternating rainy and dry seasons. The dry season, known as cacimbo, is often marked by heavy morning mist, and temperatures tend to be higher closer to the Atlantic coast. Mulenvos lies in Luanda Province, so these general features of the coastal belt apply to everyday planning.

After a hair transplant the scalp is sensitive to strong sun, sweat and dust. In hot weather, avoid long spells in direct sunlight during the early healing period, choose shade, and ask the doctor which headwear is acceptable and when it can be worn. Loose, clean, breathable headwear is generally preferred over tight caps that rub the grafts.

In the rainy months, humidity and sudden downpours matter more than heat. Keep the head clean and dry as instructed, avoid crowded, sweaty situations while the micro-punctures close, and follow the washing routine given by the clinic team. During the dry cacimbo season, dust and cooler mornings call for gentle cleaning and no scratching. Neither season rules out the operation, but each needs its own habits.

Choosing the season for the operation

There is no single perfect month for patients in Mulenvos. The key question is how much sun and physical exertion your first days will involve. The early healing period is 0–10 days, so plan those days at home or in light activity, in the shade and away from dust.

If your work is outdoors, on construction, in transport or in trade, it is more sensible to pick a period when you can reduce exposure. If you work in an office or study, a quieter week around your timetable can be enough. Think also about family events, because a wedding, a funeral gathering or a church celebration full of people and heat is not the best setting for the first days after surgery.

Talk through the dates with your coordinator, who is on the phone 24/7. Together you can fit the operation around your obligations instead of squeezing healing into a busy week.

Everyday life in Mulenvos and planning the recovery

The municipality borders the Mulenvos River, and the province around it is dense, busy and strongly connected to the capital. In such an environment the practical issue is crowding: shared transport, markets and busy streets mean contact with heads, bags and dust. In the first days, avoid anything that could knock or rub the treated area.

Plan the food side as well. Family meals are an important part of Angolan life, so tell relatives in advance that you will be resting. Eat regular, balanced meals, drink enough water in hot weather and follow the doctor's advice about alcohol and smoking during healing. Heavy, spicy or very salty dishes are not forbidden by the facts we have, but ask the doctor about your own situation.

For sport and heavy lifting, including football with friends, ask the surgeon when you may return and how to begin. Do not decide this on your own. Sweat and impact in the early period are the main concerns, and the doctor will explain the order in which activities come back.

What the procedure involves

Grafts are taken from the back of the head, the donor area, and moved through micro-punctures of about 1 mm, so nothing scars over. The doctor discusses the shape with you before the operation, taking your facial features into account. This applies to the scalp, the frontal hair line and the beard alike.

Transplanted hair grows for life: trim and style the beard as usual. For men in Mulenvos who visit a barber regularly, this is practical news, because you can keep your usual routine once the doctor has allowed it.

FUE and DHI are two ways of placing the grafts. Which one fits you depends on your hair, the area to be covered and the doctor's assessment after the online consultation. Ask the doctor to explain the choice in plain language and show you the planned line on your own photos.

Timeline: what to expect and when

Healing takes 0–10 days. Then comes normal shedding: after 2–4 weeks the transplanted hairs let go, as expected. Many patients worry at this point, so it helps to know in advance that it is part of the process.

New growth starts after 3–4 months, when hair comes back. By 6–9 months the hair is visibly thicker, which is when real density appears. The settled look comes at 12–18 months, so the final result is judged only after that period.

One patient described it like this: the result truly made him very happy, from about the 4th month active, even growth began, the transplanted hair took very well, the beard looked as natural as possible and no bald patches were left. The beard became much thicker and denser, with the shape he had thought about for a long time. Every person is different, so treat this as an example, not a promise.

Return to work, sport and social life

Because the visible stage of healing is short, many people plan the operation so that the first 0–10 days fall in a quieter time at work. Whether you can return to a desk job sooner than to physical work is something to ask the surgeon directly, describing exactly what your day looks like.

Shedding at 2–4 weeks is the stage that most affects social life, since the area may look thinner for a while. If you have an important event in that window, tell the coordinator in advance so the dates can be planned sensibly.

For sport, swimming and the beaches of the Luanda coast, wait for the doctor's permission. Sea water, pool chemicals, sun and sweat should not meet the fresh grafts until the surgeon says so. Ask for the rules in writing so you can keep them at home.

Who is a candidate and who should wait

A good candidate has enough healthy hair in the donor area at the back of the head and realistic expectations. A hair transplant corrects thinning or bald areas on the scalp and gaps in the beard, but it cannot create unlimited density.

Some conditions call for caution or a delay: uncontrolled chronic illness, active skin problems of the scalp, blood clotting problems, or medicines that affect healing. Tell the doctor about everything you take, including traditional remedies, and about previous operations.

The online consultation is where this is assessed. Send clear photos of the front, top, back and sides of the head, and the doctor will tell you honestly whether the operation suits you, or whether you should wait or choose another approach.

Questions to ask the surgeon before you decide

A good consultation is a conversation in both directions. Before you agree to a date, write your questions down and keep them next to your phone. Ask how the donor area at the back of the head will be assessed, how the frontal hair line will be drawn, and whether the plan fits your facial features. Ask what the doctor expects from your hair type and how many stages may be needed.

Ask also about the practical side of daily life in Mulenvos: which headwear is acceptable in the first days, how to wash the scalp at home, how to sleep during the first nights and when you can go back to a busy workplace. A clear answer in plain language is a sign that the doctor respects you as a patient.

If something is unclear, ask again. The coordinator on the phone 24/7 can pass your questions on, and you can reread the written answers on Telegram or WhatsApp whenever you need them.

Sleeping, washing and protecting the grafts at home

The first nights at home matter. Many patients in Luanda Province live in busy family households, so agree beforehand with relatives that nobody will lean on your head, pull a blanket over it or wake you by touching the treated area. Use clean pillowcases and ask the doctor which sleeping position is best.

Wash only as instructed. Warm, humid weather in the rainy months encourages sweating, so rest in a ventilated room and avoid scratching when the scalp itches. During the dry cacimbo mornings, dust settles easily on surfaces, so keep your pillow, towels and headwear clean.

The micro-punctures of about 1 mm close quickly, since healing takes 0–10 days. That is why care in this short window is simple but strict, and why it is worth organising the house before the operation, not after it.

Expectations, patience and support during the long wait

The longest part of a hair transplant is waiting. After the shedding at 2–4 weeks, there is a quiet period until hair comes back at 3–4 months. Then growth continues, with visible thickness at 6–9 months and a settled look at 12–18 months. People in Mulenvos who start the process before a wedding, a new job or a university term should plan with this long timeline in mind.

Do not compare yourself with photos of other people on social media. Hair type, age, the donor area and care all differ. Judge progress with your own photos, taken in the same light every month, and send them at the check-ups at months 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12.

Talking to a family member or a close friend also helps. Tell them that shedding is expected, so that comments about a thinner look in the early weeks do not worry you.

Tell your family and workplace what to expect

Mulenvos became a city and municipality only on 5 September 2024, and many households there are still adapting to the change. Daily routines are often shared between several relatives, so a hair transplant is rarely a private matter. Decide in advance who will know about it and what you will say about the scalp or beard in the first weeks.

A short, honest explanation works best. You can tell a manager or a teacher that you are having a planned procedure and need a quieter period for healing, which takes 0–10 days. You do not have to give details, but giving notice avoids awkward questions when the area is still visible.

Tell close relatives that shedding after 2–4 weeks is expected. When someone at the table comments on a thinner look, you will already know it is a normal stage and that hair comes back at 3–4 months.

Practical preparation at home before the operation

Preparation starts a few days earlier. Clean the room where you will rest, wash pillowcases and towels, and set out loose, clean headwear that the doctor has approved. In a province with warm weather and seasonal dust, a ventilated and tidy room makes the first nights easier.

Arrange your obligations too. If you usually collect children, run a small shop or help with family errands, ask someone to cover these tasks for the early healing days. Keep your phone charged, because the coordinator will be on the phone 24/7 and you may want to send a photo at any hour.

Write down the doctor's instructions on washing, sleeping and activity, and keep them where everyone at home can see them. When relatives understand the rules, nobody touches the treated area by mistake.

Beard transplant and the barber habit

In many neighbourhoods of Luanda Province the barber is a regular stop, and a neat beard matters to many men. A beard transplant fills gaps and builds a shape you have probably thought about for a long time. The doctor discusses the shape with you before the operation, taking your facial features into account.

Grafts are taken from the back of the head and placed through micro-punctures of about 1 mm. Transplanted hair grows for life, so afterwards you trim and style the beard as usual. Until the doctor allows it, do not visit the barber for a trim or shave of the treated area, and tell your barber later that the beard was transplanted.

Bring photos of beards you like to the online consultation, and also a photo of your current beard from the front and both sides. A clear picture makes it easier to agree on a natural result.

Why regular photos help you judge the result

Progress after a transplant is slow, and memory is unreliable. Take a photo of the treated area every month in the same place, in the same daylight, from the same angles. Keep them in one folder on your phone.

Compare them at the key stages: shedding at 2–4 weeks, regrowth at 3–4 months, visibly thicker hair at 6–9 months and the settled look at 12–18 months. Send them at the check-ups at months 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12, so the team can see whether healing and growth follow the expected course.

One patient wrote that active, even growth began from about the 4th month and that no bald patches were left. Your own pace may differ, and photos let you see it calmly instead of judging it by mood on one particular day.

How the remote consultation works from Mulenvos

You write to the coordinators on Telegram or WhatsApp, from your own home, at any hour. The consultation is free. You send photos, describe your history and goals, and receive an assessment and a plan of what comes next.

We stay with you from pre-op planning to 12 months later. Check-ups are at months 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12, so you are never left alone with a question about shedding, regrowth or care. A coordinator will be on the phone 24/7.

Prepare your questions before the call: how many sessions may be needed, which technique is suggested, how the line will be designed, what the first days look like and what to avoid in the heat and dust of Luanda Province.

Is the consultation really free for people in Mulenvos?

Yes. The online consultation is free. You write on Telegram or WhatsApp from your own city and the coordinators answer around the clock, 24/7.

When will I see the result?

Transplanted hairs let go after 2–4 weeks, which is expected. Hair comes back at 3–4 months, looks visibly thicker at 6–9 months, and the settled look arrives at 12–18 months.

Will the donor area at the back of my head be scarred?

Grafts are moved through micro-punctures of about 1 mm, so nothing scars over. The doctor will explain the donor area in detail during your consultation.

Can I keep trimming my beard after a beard transplant?

Transplanted hair grows for life, so you trim and style the beard as usual, once the doctor has allowed it after the healing period.

How long does early healing take?

Early healing takes 0–10 days. Plan this period at home or in light activity, away from sun, dust and crowds.

Is hot weather a problem after the operation?

Strong sun and sweat irritate the scalp during early healing. Use shade, ask the doctor about suitable headwear and follow the washing instructions.

Can I play football or go to the beach?

Wait for the surgeon's permission. Impact, sweat, sea water and pool water should not touch the fresh grafts until the doctor says so.

Who follows my progress later?

We stay with you from pre-op planning to 12 months later, with check-ups at months 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12.

What should I send for the first assessment?

Clear photos of the front, top, back and sides of your head or beard, plus information about your health, medicines and goals.

Can I wear a cap or hat in Mulenvos after the operation?

Ask the doctor which headwear is acceptable and from when. Loose, clean and breathable headwear is generally preferred, and tight caps that rub the grafts should be avoided in the early healing period.

Is it normal if my hair falls out after a few weeks?

Yes. Transplanted hairs let go after 2–4 weeks, as expected. New hair comes back at 3–4 months.

Can I ask my questions at night?

Yes. Coordinators are available on Telegram and WhatsApp around the clock, 24/7, and a coordinator will be on the phone 24/7.

Should I tell my employer about the operation?

It is your decision. A short notice that you need a quieter period for healing, which takes 0–10 days, is usually enough, and it avoids questions while the area is still visible.

Can a barber in Mulenvos cut my hair after a transplant?

Not until the doctor allows it. Afterwards, tell the barber about the transplant and trim and style the beard or hair as usual.

How often should I send photos to the team?

Take your own photos monthly in the same light, and send them at the check-ups at months 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12.
